Yo, was about to test this beta thing due to my pre-order and i think the servers crashed right away
might have ben a good idea to do a open beta test to see what the server(s) can handle if thay did in fact just crash, cant access their website either, says too many connections..
this dosent really inspire confidence

This is the 'open' beta mate.
The servers have been very stable over the last 6 months but yes, currently I cannot connect either.
They should be up again soon.
i was able to do a part of the training mission and my brother who skipped most of it was able to do his first PVE mission, wich apperantly runs on a seperate system because as soon as they finished it he crashed
edit: i'd just like to add that this happens to many real MMO launches so i'm glad this happens right now in beta.
shouldnt the open beta have ben earlier? if servers crash right away of open beta and release is in under a month? think thay will be hard pressed to have it ready for launch
and ofcourse no MMO is ever complete there is always bugs to be fixed
There was a new patch this morning, that may be part of the problem.
This is what Open Beta is for, its not a "Demo", its a way to stress test the servers. If a game is only having problems with servers, then thats a good sign, because upgrading a server is much easier than fixing a game...
Yeah, I made it just past the recon assassin dude in the tutorial missions before I crashed.

no doubt when has a patch not brought new bugs to be fixed? ^^
Its first day of large scale testing. As far as stability I wouldn't worry much the game really didn't crash to often for me in CB. Tbh I think they underestimated how many would be waiting at open beta launch to get in the door on day one. Just a guess they seem to be restarting the log in server atm.
it'll happen again at launch but that happens to every online game, why? because they won't have servers etc. to hold all those THOUSANDS of players logging in, playing at the same time. it wouldn't make sense to invest in that since you won't ever reach those numbers again.
when you pay to "test" its a demo
otherwise we are paying them for us to work?
anyways the first 10 min was a lot of fun
agreed.
on another note, Cant wait to try the game, never managed to get in, made my character and stuck on loading screen
yea, i was gonna go there and see if there was an announcment about the servers but i couldnt even get in so i figured there was quite a few ppl trying to get in so i went here insted
I'm having similar issues. A little after 1PM EST I logged in, created my first character, then, the game was just stuck at the loading screen forever. I never even got to play.
Now it won't even let me log in with the "Unable to connect to server" error. Oh well, I'll give it a try later.
I wonder if they have the option to borrow or rent servers for the initial rush.

Twitter says 6PM, and the GA site says 4PM. Oh the confusion!
Looks like tomorrow will be a better bet
