This may not help everyone but I hope it helps some. If your anti-wow like I used to be, just give it a try, a big try, like, to level 10 or so atleast.

I Used to really hate wow, I would sit around in shadowbane waiting for someone to talk good about wow so I could call them a Peice of Sh*t Carebear. But I ran out of money and while my other games accounts were down, I figured I would tide my bordem with some dumbas* wow.

Right now, the wow servers are down for a patch, and im furious. I went to bed last night thinkin of this cool kind of hunter I wanted to make, and now I gotta wait. Im hoping the servers come up soon, cause I really need to play, even though its 4:30pm and I have been playing straight since 8:40am. This game owns, wow has introduced a new law to science, the WoW Equal Reward for Anything Law. For everything you do wow related, u find something else of equal or greater funness to do. Every minute u play, means another minute around the corner that u want to keep playing.

So please, just give it some time, every thing I thought I would be pissed about as I was playing, I would find out that I was wrong, every level I gained, I found new and fun things to do. From char creation, to leveling, to professions, to trading, to pvp, its all either fun, or not too bad. Just give it a try.

P.S. Though I DO wish the undead could be hunters... image

P.P.S. This makes me wonder if EQ2 is gonna be all that bad? I still think of EQ2 the same way I used to think of WoW, then again I havent beta-played EQ2 yet... hmm.

I am trying to give it a try, im a lvl 14 rogue and I hate it as much as when I started. But your words give me some hope. What made you like the game all of a sudden? anything in paticular? I personally hate how everyone does quests and no one wants to group. I cant stand soloing and questing till lvl 50, maybe you think differently.

There so many quest and instance dungeons you need group, for that makes wow so great, you can solo but you can also party its up to you.

But true lot of peeps solo alot or are alone maybe becouse in short time they have they wanne explore landscape or what you can do with your race class ext.

And also some pvp or lot of pvp when on pvp server PLENTY TO DO IN WOW!!!!

Well, first off, u really have to love your toon, if your not havin fun with your race/class, then try something else, its not like most other mmorpgs where every class is the same except for diffrent spells, everyclass in wow is played compleatly diffrent, some use mana, witch u use as u cast, some use energy, some use rage witch u have to fight to gain, some use combopoints some have stances, everyclass is almost like another game... kinda.

Second off, u gonna try to get into the lore of the game, im a Undead Bow/2Dag Rouge, and i used to not care about aliance or horde, but now that thiers pvp servers, and on a pvp server all your toons have to be on the same faction, i found myself starting to hate all u dumbas*, redneck, bathing, aliance members. Though ill still trade tauren for nightelf. :P j/k.

Also, once u start to see all the things u can do with your toon, from the diffrent weapons u can use, to the diffrent professions u can do, to the whole ! talent point tree ! Thiers just alot u can do.

And if all that dosent help, watch the new opening cinematic movie like 10 times in a row, its like porn+opera, i wanna jackoff and cry at the same time. image

I lost all hope in the entire genre to be honest. Then i remembered about 2 months ago "Oh yea...Blizzard is coming out with a MMOG". Ive played almost every MMO out there and if Blizz plays thier cards right they could have the best one ever created on thier hands. They have all the pros and cons of other MMOG's to build off of PLUS the entire warcraft universe. Also they have instances.

Now im not completely positive, but i think AO was the first game to come out with the instanced missions. The fact that they had scalable instances (you could increase or decrease the difficulty with a slider) made me love that buggy game. I dont see why people say that instances "will kill the genre". If anything it will save it. How many times can you think of that you were sitting there, minding your own business, killing something in a group then BAM some fool trains half a zone onto you? Yea....happened alot to me too heh. But with instances, someone dies? Only have yourself to blame. Either Restart the instance or get your group back together and keep going.

Anyways ill stop rambling. I cant wait for OB/release. image
