Learning Curve

in Final Fantasy XIV

 I've always been a huge fan of the Final Fantasy series and the very thought of playing an FF MMO excited me, but I could never play the previous Final Fantasy MMO due to the crazy learning curve the game had, I honestly hope in this one the game is a little bit more user friendly when it comes to completely new players.



If anyone has any information on how it's going to be this time around,  would be awesome!

    Well, as far as the previous MMO is concerned, they made the learning curve significantly easier, although it's still not nearly as hand holding as other MMO's out there.

    That said, and because those changes were implemented not so long ago, I think that FFXIV will sport a similar trend, too.  

    Using LOL is like saying "my argument sucks but I still want to disagree".

    How about the learning curve for someone who has never played any FF game before (IE me) :)

    Well, MMO FF is not really like an offline FF so you're just missing out on one predecessor :P

    I just hope that the controls are not too difficult to pickup.  I dont mind taking time to learn how combat sequences and all work, but if I have a hard time getting my fingers to remember how to walk across the room then thats going to be a problem.  It seems like that part of the interface is becoming standardized across all mmo's.  Hopefully FF doesnt feel the need to depart radically from the standard.
