I can not find anywhere, on any site, in any forum where anyone else is jumping up and down for joy because they got in. You would think there would be at least one more person somewhere claiming they got in. I am not saying that the OP is lying, however, some verification of some sort would be good to see.

he can't but its very suspicous becuase an offical SE letter would not do that, i can almost garuntee it would say like "will only work with your Square-Enix ID and Password". 1) its proper 2) they say "square-enix" since they introduced it becuase people on FFXI have playonline IDs. Likely its fake, and he could easly prove it with a picture or even just the link to the download, but hasnt. Until then its a fake in my eyes.
Also they whole "i can make my character, but no log into the game" part is a huge flag. i have never played a game or beta that does that, you always have to log in...why? becuase the character and its data are stored on the games server.
Yet every single person does it. Anyone who says they don't are lying sacks.
And yes, this is fake. It's way too early and I hardly doubt they'd be sending invites so long before FFXIII, which is rumored to have keys if you meet requirements to obtain one.

EDIT: BTW, the "client" he's supposedly downloading is probably a keylogger aimed to steal his other MMO passwords. Good luck with that.

We haven't agreed to the NDA when we submitted our sign-up.
When he received the e-mail, considering it is legit, he didn't yet agree to the NDA, of which he probably only accepted (and read the exact terms) when he registered that registration code. So this may not be effectively within NDA range.
Of course, a lot of speculation around, we don't even know if it's legit, and we won't know yet, because if this is right they have just started sending invites for the upcoming beta that has no announced date yet.
So ... What have we learned:
1) This is either fabricated or everyone else who got it has not woken up yet (and since they would probably be MMO players they might have been raiding til 5 am so it is conceivable)
2) The smart people, Icon included, went to confirm any information when it was posted.

4) Some people are gullible, some people are cynical, and one person knows the truth and I doubt they will tip their hand anymore than they have.
5) People can't seem to get the hang of even the most common idioms
6) It is in most cases against the NDA (which stand for Non-disclosure agreement and is a standard for all betas to not leak information out while testing) to announce you are in beta.
7) No one, else one possible OP, has signed on for an NDA.
8) "This is like Florida cerca 2000 ... too early to call and could drag out forever." Is either WAY too high brow for y'all or none y'all were old enough to care 10 years ago.

Because you don't sign an NDA for registering, its usually always right before they give you access to the actual client! Also as professional as Square-Enix is being with this beta so far you can bet they'll not want anyone to even mention they got into the beta as well!

When's the last time any of you got a beta invite that said anything like, "Your system specifications and qualifications are what we're looking for?" Last time I saw something like that was, um...never.
This looks like bullshit to me. But yeah, since you've already broken the NDA by saying you're in beta and supposedly copy/pasting the beta letter, let's see some screenshot action.

I have my doubts like many others here dio, and I'm sure if its true we'll see an avalanche of NDA beta postings, assuming they don't forbid that in the NDA. (not every game does btw)

That "beta applicant" acceptance email looks to be wrote by a idiot, its so simple. You guys should be alot smarter then that and know better that beta has not started yet.
I mean look, soon as word got out that the Friends And Family WoW:Cata alpha was going out.. word broke out fast, trust me.. if beta was out the boards would be lit up.
Just thought I would let you guys that signed up to try and get in to the beta that you did agree to the NDA. I’m assuming most people didn't read it. Here is a link just in case you did not read it http://support.na.square-enix.com/rule.php?id=902&la=1&tag=memtester this is the contract AKA the NDA that you agreed to when you signed up to try and get in to the beta. If you didn't read it before you should really read it so you don’t get in trouble if you do get in. there are a lot of small things that could get you kicked out or wrose
And you didn't need to sign it, all you had to do was hit the agree button which was the only way to apply to get in to the beta. Also side information I hope you all at least read the part that was not in the contract but rather on the page that said you needed an ID to apply that you can only apply once if you apply more then once then you will be atomically out of the running to try and get in.

Ooook be mean. And I wasn't hiding where I was from or going (same name honeylilly) I was just posting facts and if you don’t like me for that or for any other silly thing then I’m ok with that. It would not be the first time that has happened. It just shows how unwilling you guys are to new people joining. It really kind of a childish thing and I refuse to stoop that low. Why would they want to deal with people who don't want to take it seriously? And they can track the number of sign ups from a person. IP tracking is not hard.

The beutiful thing about todays age is you can bypass the IP issue with ease, and you could be as many people as you feel like creating. I only signed up once, Tho I would like to be in beta to help make it better, but I am not going to go through the trouble creating all the stuff needed to cheat the system.

Who me or the other people? I only applied once I was just saying I hope more people applied more then once so I have a better chance to get in. I highly don't think I will get it though due to the sheer volume of people that must of applied. And I do want to test. I’m 100% serious about it so much so I almost have the NDA almost memorized. I’m not in it just for the game and besides it is more then likely (or so it says in the NDA section 3.2 Accumulated Data during Testing Period but longer) that we will have to get rid of everything even the charter when they come out to the public and I’m not the type of person that like to start new characters. I just want to have a testing experience.

True enough. I've been debating whether I should use my proxys for multiple sign ups, but I only have so many computers with different configurations.
I did however make a few friends sign up as well, but they don't have any interest in MMOs. Easy to bribe people if you know what they like to eat >.>
