Steam Download question

Hi All

I am planning to use Steam to download FE ,I have read comments about the download that if  it fails then it  will start from the beginning again ?This will waste my current allocated amount per month ..10 GB :)

With Steam will the download reinitilize from where it dropped or will it  start the whole process again ?

    Progress is saved while downloading. Im not sure if the download system can bug out, ive downloaded about 30 games on steam and never had that problem, but im not 100% sure no1 else has had no problems while downloading a game.

    Buy from FE site, much cheaper.

    Currently playing: Fallen Earth

    Wants to play: Divergence, Earthrise, Final Fantasy XIV, Star Wars: The Old Republic and The Secret World

    Have played these games: Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, Aion, Cabal Online, EverQuest II, Guild Wars, Guild Wars Factions, Guild Wars Nightfall, Hellgate: London, Lord of the Rings Online, Runescape and World of Warcraft

    Okay good point but then what would happen if the initial donwload from the FE website fails ?Does it continue from where it dropped ?

    Well, you'll need to download about 500mb, from their site. Then you need to patch the game (3-4GB if I remember correctly) and no it cannot fail, and it will continue (patching atleast) if it fails somehow.

    Furthermore, if you for some reason have to restart the patcher, it will install the already downloaded files before downloading the rest.
