in Everquest II
Hey guys and gals i was just wandering will we be able 2 purchase a serial code for eq2 over the internet which allows u also to download the game client just like coh and lineage 2?? sorry if this has been asked before but i can find no info on this!

    I don't think this is going to be an option at release.  They might offer something like this down the road though.

    this game takes two dvds...would be pain to download

    I don't think a download version will ever happen for this game. At release it is 2 dvds or i think 9 cd's. Just imagine what it will be like 6 months or a year from now.

    the beta client was smaller...yet it took 10 hours to download it with broadband

    They dl'ed it, but as stated it was smaller AND it was FAR fewer people than what they would be dealing with in retail.

    Yea... I don't think you would want to find out what a 6-8gig download would be like. Probably a good week on 56k. image

    Or 4 hours if your broadband doesn't suck.

    Downloading all the content you get with the retail release would be easily outran by the FedEx guy bringing you your own actual copy. Besides, having that box set means something.

    Downloading would be an option for most people in remote countries with broadband internet access, but where this game will be released locally in a month or even later. Some of them can't wait :D

    yeah, downloading it would be a royal pain. especially if lots of people were dling at the same time. my broadband dls at about 128-150kbps, and i would never do it. (probably because i do prefer to have the box in my hands).

    When i was on 120k bb it took 24 hours to download a gig so on 56k more like a month none stop lol >.< but then again it was NTL broadband :/

    i downloaded anarchy online which was 3 gigs, only took me about two hours. your broadband must have sucked pretty bad.
