Help me find my suited MMO.

carnifexxxcarnifexxx Member Posts: 3

Hey gang!

After taking a break from MMORPG gaming to re-discover my passion for other hobbies in life, I'm dead keen to get stuck back into an MMO, however, I've found that this time round, my interests have developed on a totally different level.

I'm looking for an MMO that hit's a few of these pointers;

- Good looking & Smooth Graphics Engine

- Player Housing

- Lots of environment to explore

- Good community

- Must be able to use fist weapons / claws, etc.

- (Possibly) Sandbox?

Any help finding me an MMO that rounds off nicely amongst these fields would really be appreciated.

Thanks!

Check out Fallen Earth. There's a 10 day free trial that doesn't require any CC info.

    • Nice graphics and updates being done all the time to make them even better, smooth too
    • Player Housing is being worked on
    • Lots of exploration to be done, you're not limited on where you go
    • Solid community, one of the most adult groups I've seen in a long time
    • Fist weapons, well, there are melee weapons like knives, shanks, etc.
    • PvP areas where you get flagged when entering and it's FFA at that point

Worth a look, there is a lot of developer feedback on their forums. The Devs really seem to take an interest in what the community things of the game and they are very responsive to inquiries.  There are also GMs on all the time to assist as needed and to offer help.

Final Fantasy XIV has pretty nice graphics and a class that can use fist weapons (Pugilist). Here's a pic:

Player housing is also considered to be included. Game comes out during this year. You can sign up to the beta if you want on the official website finalfantasyxiv.com

Using LOL is like saying "my argument sucks but I still want to disagree".

    Hey guys,

Thanks for the sharp replies to my post, I really appreciate it . :)

I think I'm looking for a level of polish that I probably won't find in Darkfall or Mortal Online, which is going to lead me to saying that I'm perhaps not looking for a sandbox game, so much as I am looking for one with alot of options end game, not something like WoW where I raid 4 nights a week for a shot at some gear.

Also going to post up that I'm highly interested in druidic / morphing ability in a game. I loved that in Warhammer Online I could play as a marauder and warp my arm into all sorts of gnarly slaying instruments, so anything similar to this is definitely a plus!

    Thanks again everyone. :)

Heh, you people and looking for exactly specific things. Go outside the box. Try something you'd never imagine you'd try. That's how I came to be playing Global Agenda. =D

I'm not sure what you've already played, but you might try Vanguard or EQ2. Vanguard's druid class is one of the best classes I've ever played. And they have a class that can use fist weapons, but I can't think of the class name off the top of my head. Sorry.

    Current: None
Played: WoW, CoX, SWG, LotRO, EVE, AoC, VG, CO, Ryzom, DF, WAR
Tried: Lineage2, Dofus, EQ2, CoS, FE, UO, Wurm, Wakfu
Future: The Repopulation, ArcheAge, Black Desert, EQN

If you're willing to bend a little on the graphics bit, Istaria fits your other requirements. You can even play as a dragon.

I love how people do this... =P

I'm not advertising for anything. I try to vary my posts a bit. I hardly ever recommend GA unless it sounds like that's what they want. I just decided to make this post a little interesting and pick at his nit-pickyness.

Also, sorry, but it's true that that's how I ended up playing GA. I didn't even look twice at it until the day before the pre-order beta started. I bought it on a whim and am enjoying the hell out of it.
