I personally haven't had any issues, my client downloaded without any problems (downloaded through Fileplanet).
However, there are multiple downloaders/mirrors currently available. You may want to specify which one you used in order for people to better be able to assist you with your issue.

I suppose its possible that it is just being hammered hard at the moment, other than that I don't know what to suggest
You could always re-download if the problem persists, hopefully it doesn't, as a last resort. If you end up having to go that route I would definitely recommend using Fileplanet to download the client.
Give it some time and try it again, hopefully it finishes.
I initially tried the official torrent link as well and it was horribly slow, around 3-40KB if I remember correctly. I ended up getting it from FileShack for around 600-700KB (much better). You may want to give up on the torrent if it's having issues.
so...
i tried the other downloads and they were all way to slow. 96 hours, 85 hours 119 hours.
the torrent flew to 99% in 19 hours, and now it just keeps redoing the last 1% over and over

I started using the official torrent too and it was only going at about 80kb/s so tried fileshack. I'm very happy with the a speed of 480kb/s here in australia. fingers crossed it stays that fast.
I would use that but ive used most of my bandwidth.
problem seems to be only with the hogg files
