so if the market is so small!why does microsoft bother with such a small market wyhen he could
have close to a 500 million market worldwide for their upcoming game halo reach mmo!
i guess nobody will ever know !one thing is sure mmo will never gain a lot of support from the computer mmo maker
they ll go 64 bit in computer before they bother with mmo on console!at least most of them
only mag,ff14,halo reach and a very limited few other will try their hand in console market the rest will be happy getting ton of money in computer mmo making.

Not every PC is a gaming rig and not every game runs on every rig. Consoles don't suffer from this problem. Then there's the fact that consoles are closed systems that allow the company that makes the console to charge develoers a fee for the right to make games on their platform. Nothing like being paid for shit you didn't have anything to do with eh? The PC is an open platform that anyone can make a game for. No one, other than Apple with the Mac, can charge fees or royalties to game developers on the PC. Microsoft is trying to change that with "Games for Windows," but I think we all know how that's gonna pan out...
And then there's piracy. Yes, you can pirate console games, but it's a major pain in the ass and the mods required run a high likelyhood of bricking your system. Hell, bricked systems actually amount to higher console sales so the hardware manufacturer actually gains quite a bit from console piracy. With the PC, piracy is fun and easy.
Why would large game publishing corporations make games for a platform that they have no control over?
