Someone should check if they are, because this game must be some sort of fraud/scam? Never in my entire 37 year old life as a gamer have I seen such an obvious money-grabbing scam.

 

First they want a full AAA-price (as much as people pay for Modern Warfare 2 and other super-games) for a game thats been thrown together in no time and more looks like some sort of cheap indie project, THEN they want you to pay every month like an MMO. The problem with that is... this game aint an MMO! Its not even very multiplayer. Modern Warfare 2 is more MMO than STO is, and you only pay for that AAA-game once. But wait, it gets worse, THEN you have to pay for respecing your toon and other stuff as well, microtransactions! Hahaha! Its amazing. Its armed robbery.

 

ITS A MONEY GRABBING SCAM PEOPLE. Wake the fuck up and smell the coffe. If its not; do you REALLY wanna be a contributing part of making single player games cost monthly fees now do you?

I dont, so I wont be buying this game.

 

(its kinda obvious now that the MMO market caters to idiots. Only a complete fucking retard would buy this game. Imagine if Modern Warfare 2, or any other game, would be made in a few months, cost full price, cost every month to play AND have microtransactions on top of being unfinished, buggy and extremely linear and repetative...? you think that game company would last the week? nope, but if you make MMOs.... it dosnt matter. because we MMO players are retarded beyond all hope, are we?)

Honestly, STO has POS written all over it according to MMORPG.com players. I'm not spending a penny on the game.

If it was a indie company that released it and for free, it would be ok to play for awhile. But to call it a "full" game and make people pay full price, AND a monthly charge, AND microtransactions, is a S C A M.

The game is NOT finished. Its FAR from finished. Its also VERY small and limited and NOT MMO at ALL. There is NOTHING "MMO" about the game except earth base. Play it and see for yourself.

Micro-transcations?

This is the first I have heard about microtransactions in the game. What microtransactions do they have?

I have not tried STO yet and from what I have heard about instancing in the game, it will not be to my liking. if there is microtransactions on top of a monthly fee, then it is for sure a game I will never invest in. The reason people pay monthly fee is to get rid of microtransaction and enjoy a game fully without running into surprise expenses around every corner.

Can anyone share some light on what microtransactions this game will have?
