Want to Play but wont take my email

Hi everyone.. hopefully one of you guys can help

 

I wanted to give DDO a go .. and i already have a turbine acount from when i used to play LOTRO

 

Problem is, when i go to create the game account, it will not take any of my email addresses.

I wanted specifically to use my gmail account.. but ive tried a number of them and it tells me to "Please enter a valid email address"

I put in a ticket to DDO and stayed on hold for as long as i could bare with customer service.  I cant msg in their forum as i need a game account to create a forum account

Im almost at my wits end.  I didnt find any issues like this when i googled it and have tried different computers and other people have tried their emails.  Any help you guys can give would be GREAT!

Why don't you just make a hotmail account and try to use that. It should work (I used  hotmail account) and you can change your e-mal afterwards, perhaps by just writing customer service a note.

i will try this.. but i was putting in random hotmail/any other ones i could think of just to try to not get that error.. no luck!  But thanks for the reply maybe i will try this.

i will try this.. but i was putting in random hotmail/any other ones i could think of just to try to not get that error.. no luck!  But thanks for the reply maybe i will try this.

 

There seems to be a bug. On the DDO forums the Devs said they were looking into this issue. You might want to look there for more info since Turbine does not post here.

I think I had the same problem because my email is tied to my turbine account from when I played LotRO, maybe even from when I played P2P DDO. i'm trying to get back into the game now atm, with the downloader (which works tons better than the pando one I tried last time), but I'm not sure if I can use my old username or not. Hoping I don't have to set up a bunk email just to get back in, but I will if it comes down to it.

Is it safe to say all my level 10 chars are gone btw?

EDIT: holy crap it's still got all my old chars, awesome. Too bad I can only use 4 of the 6 atm.
