Might Be Coming Back...

DrWalnutDrWalnut Member CommonPosts: 133

I quit EQ2 about 6 months ago at level 73,  because quite simply I ran out of soloable content. I'm thinking of coming back with the new 65-75 XP changes. What I want to know is if I will still have more content to solo. I was about 1/3 through 73 to 74 and was in Kunzar Jungle. If I come back, can I expect to have been pushed up to 74 so that I can solo those tougher solo quests I have but could never do alone. If it helps my character is a Sarnak Brigand.

Well I had a toon at 73 that dinged 75 yesterday on one kill so you should level up. Also remember to do the lavastorm solo quests for AP if you have not already done so.

    From six months back?  No.

But Kunark was solo outdoors right from launch so not sure what you did to hit a wall.  There is also TSO to start soloing in at 76.  Really should have been able to and still are able to solo to 80 and not be anywhere near finishing your solo quests.  Which is good because you need those quests for the other 60+ AA you need ;)  Soon to be much more so of you do hit 80 before SF... park your toon so the XP isn't as wasted.

Gear issue maybe?  At 72 mastercraft tier opened up, grab some weapons at least and armour if you can and go to town.  Also have a guildy make you the journey CAs for free.  Experts would be wasted since SF means another tier of CAs come Feb.

Yeah, I have no idea how you hit a soloing wall at level 73 when quests go all the way up to 80 in Kunark plus there are soloable mobs which you must kill for solo quests that are 80+.

Kunzar Jungle and Jarsath Wastes are two solo zones that feature content which is by and large meant for players over the level of 73.

will play this when the sentinel of fate
    new beginner area gets released

since most mmo going out in the next year
    stay 32 bit,no donnybrook,no dx11

no use in going for new buggy mmo(star trek anybody)

true!the fact eq2 is finally avail again in my local ebgame store was a big factor
in my decision to come play this title
since i dont play e-store avail only mmo!
    NEVER!

ps:ebgame clerk told me they ll have a new service soon for canada

their card will work in their e-store and we ll be hable to receive our game or other buy in their local store

dont know the full story of this but if i can use the ebgame instore card to buy in e-store and recieve those buy to my local store .
    i will use e-store a lot more.
since my main beef with e-store is the fact its too invasive but being able to buy card to buy on e-store is a very good improvement.

No offence, but there are enough solo quests in RoK alone to go from 70 to 80 twice.  You either missed them - which would be quite hard to do as they are everywhere or you found them too hard, which is near impossible as EQ2 solo quests (with rare exception) can be done by a character 5-10 levels below them with relative ease.

So you're either trolling to misinform people or you simply didn't try to play.  The biggest community complaint about RoK (70-80 expac) was that it was almost entirely comprised of solo quests and had minimal group content.  Again, either you didn't try or you're just trolling to give the impression that the game has limited solo content.  It doesn't.  It has tons.  There are more than 5000 quests in EQ2 with probably 75% of them solo.

Also, 6 months ago, TSO was already out, as was the lavastorm timeline, both of which added tons more solo quests.

I recently decided to level my old berserker character from 70 to 80 - i had not touched this character in more than 2 years, so it had outdated gear and only 60AAs. I solo quested from 70 to 74 in about 4 hours and i've done less than 10% of the 70-80 solo quests.

If you truly and honestly just could not find the quests, here is a link to the solo quests:

its no biggy since eq2 team correct the part in feb if it hasnt been added already so no more searching for quest like the dude complained about.
