FPS Combat sucks. They really should go third person. Forced first person combat for melee is just a bad idea. I really think third person combat could be worked in without hurting the game mechanics. You run slower when in combat mode so people are not going to use all the time. So sneaking is still viable.
The graphics were stunning in some parts down right awful in others.
Great cities, had a lot of character and were fun to walk around an explore.
Great terrain really gives you a sense of epic journey. Great mountains. Does need a little spice however.
Well seeing as I've been right about them needing a patcher all along, I fail to see how my foot would be my mouth for them finally making a new one.
I mean, I gave them the code to do it and an idea on how to do it as well. We'll see how they went ahead with it.
They didn't use your code, actually. The current patcher they have was written for them by a friend of mine. He's a devoted player in the beta and wanted to help out the devs so he took it on himself to write one for them. He's also developing a guild hosting website for the game at www.mortalarena.com. It's still under construction, he's been busy with a few other projects.
It wasn't *MY* code, it was a link to code examples to get them started.
The fact that somebody outside the company actually wrote their patcher is testament to their lack of experience and how well this game is going to turn out. I have to laugh.
