Tell you what, I'll do that after you take that article challenge that Dana presented to you. I mean, if you're going to issue challenges, it's only right that you accept them too.
There you go. i didn't think you would accept.
My writing an article on player crews has zero bearing on this discussion.
I knew that's what you'd say You don't think it's fair that you should accept a challenge if you're giving them out yourself? It's okay if you wanna duck the responsibility again.
The reality of the thread is the title just isn't true. In CO I haven't heard of anyone who had to ever use the c-store to buy a respec, and they haven't even decided whether the option will be in the store for STO.
Anyone who claims to know otherwise is just guessing.

Tell you what I challenge you that respecs will be on STO first day at the C-store . if it is not I will come into this thread again admit I was wrong, otherwise you must admit that you were wrong. The game is out in a week or so so bring it on and see who was right all along.
I would give you a guest pass to SWOTR, but then I wouldn't be able to find a way to live with myself afterwards....
its a shame almost none of you have ever played sto, its obvious since none of you seem to have noticed how sto works. your main active powers are from your officers, they are cheap, easy to level, and swappable except while actually in combat, you can change them out between fights to rotate cooldowns ect on the 3 min abilities. your actual characters spec, well you can see every skill you can ever get at level 1, the stuff you need to be higher level for is greyed out but you can still click on and read them. none of the skills along the way up require specifiv pre requisite skills, just level requirements. if you guys actually played the game yould know this stuff and know theres not really a reason for respecs, and if you ever did need one it would be a rare occasion indeed, and entirely your own fault if you pick something stupid, as you have to invest the points the then confirm the purchase of the ability.

Since Champions didn't have them at release, I doubt if STO will.

If you want to switch from a science ship to an escort and maintain high performance, you will want to respec your skill points.

Err, this tells me you really haven't played STO. That's simply not the case.

Explain why. I have played Fed up to Lt Cmdr and Klingon to Lt 7. There are slots to spend points in each of the three ship types once you get to Lt Cmdr.
Are you saying that any build will be equally effective operating each of the three ship types? IF that is true, then the enitre build system is pointless.
