Hi,
Does anyone know if crafting an item works every time or is their a chance it might fail? the only crafting experience i've had was when i played ragnarok online and while it was pretty limited i did like how that had it so the higher you tried to upgrade an item the greater the chance it would fail and destroy the item and when you made items you could add greater bonuses to it at a higher risk of failing.
From what i've read most other games with crafting, creating items never fail.
hopefully their will be LOTS of unique item players can learn to make. and it would be cool if once you knew how to make an item you could add different stuff when you make it to add different effects. like if you learnt to make a longsword, you could add diamonds to it when you forge it to make it sharper (increased damage) that way people could experiment with different meterials.

there will be diffefernt materials as well as unique recepies
my only hope is that there is gonna be an abundance of both, so crafters can be unique accress the land
Just to give you some idea about crafting:
There will be no chance of failure in the crafting, however most of your work will be done with a tool or a machine. To get a better idea of what they have in mind for crafting, I'd suggest having a look at this QnA with MR from Wish Warcry:

Check out the second question there. :-)
I hope this helps!

Crafting in these games usually are a total disapointment to me. Taking my last game, Horizons, as an example, there I was a magic man 'cause I could create 60 of the same items at once. I know a few blacksmiths in real life that would love to step up to the anvil and with one pound of the hammer knock out 60 horseshoes all perfect and identical ......
In reality crafting takes many factors. Skill being the main. But strength, and stamina play a big part. You should have seen my first attempt at a horseshoe *lol* it made me rethink smithing altogether.
Everything crafted should be able to fail. All crafted items should have a min and a max worth and the crafted item come out based upon the skill level the strength and the stamina of the crafter with a random factor for total failure to perfection tossed in. Plus only able to make one item at a time. But that will not work with the "instant self gratification" generation of players.
