It isn't a very good seller. Aion is still pretty popular so it should be in stores but AoC died so fast it went straight to bargain bin within 2 months is why it is hard to find now. This game does not have enough players today so unless the expansion is awesome enough to pay back the 40 million this game lost it is hard to imagine much more coming after the expansion. Top games usually are still in stores, guild wars, aion, warcraft...because people buy them.

Everything he said were facts and reasons as to why "it is hard to find now"; no where did he say it was impossible to find, but for those who can't (apparently the original poster), these were solid and true reasons why.

It's not hard to find, it's hard to find at gamestop. Many have listed seeing it at other places with no problems. Axeion read the post just fine. Said poster just likes to put the "FoxNews" spin on every post. Suprised that post isn't in the sig. I'm starting to hear an echo, or is that deja vu?
Read the whole post... "I could of course buy online, but in the state im in now i dont have a cc or a bank acc, im disabled so i just get by every month."
Doesn't change the fact that godzilr1 is correct. Only the top selling, main stream MMOs are sold by EB and simular places. Doesn't mean that AoC is discontinued. It means that EB is discontinuing AoC. Which doesn't surprise me. The selection that EB has for computer games and hardware is an absolute joke these days.
Very true. Its pretty freaking sad when Wal Mart has many more PC games for sale than a store thats supposed to specialize in video games.
Anyway, for the OP, I'm from Canada too (Calgary) so try Wal Mart, Best Buy or Future Shop. They usually have the big release PC games for sale. For me, I usually find what I want at Best Buy, so try there first. I have seen a few copies of AoC kicking around those places out here so hopefully you can find it where you live. Good luck.
Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.
The fact that OP seriously cannot figure out how to buy a videogame on his/her own is concerning and suggests that any action involving more than a handful of neural synapses should be avoided at all costs.

I'm sure many gamers are eager to play a 1.42 video game because bargain bin games are usually there for a reason and there are so many awesome games worth paying 40-60 dollars for who have download content in liu of subscriptions to expand the experience...
They are eager. Maybe they tried the demo/trial and liked it so they are a savy shopper and looking for the best price. As much as you want everyone in the world to hate this game/company there are people who find the game fun. Shocker that some people have different opinions and views on what they find fun. Some of the best games are in the bargin bin.

34 years old and no bank account still? I don't get it.
Choose a bank and apply for welfare if you have no employment or something. You'd have a bit of money and you could pay your mom some rent ? Not trying to be funny but doesn't sound right to me.
You do know about the disabled pension for disabled people in Ontario? You could try and ask for it too. If you are really disabled and your doctor is willing to sign the papers, you could get pretty decent pension for the rest of your life. It's a great tool for peoples who can't work.
Anyways, just trying to help you.

What's funny is if people are so worried about who is right or wrong about this, all you have to do is search these stores sites for the product. Only one that I searched had the actual game on their site, out of Target Best buy and walmart. That was target. Which means they don't carry it anymore, other than target.
In my area game-stop didn't have it in stores according to the store finder. As a boxed version it is very possible it is discontinued at most retailers. Which really doesn't matter anyway, a: if you can get to a store you can by a pre-paid credit card. b: If you can play the game it means you have a pc and high speed internet. Which means you can downoad the game and order time cards. If you can't make it there yourself, get a friend or family member to pick up one for you.
People really need to learn when there is an argument and when there isn't one. There is none here, it is not on store websites, that means its not in their inventory. You can't even order it through them as a boxed version.
I like AOC I do have no problem with the game, just because I like it doesn't mean I will blindly defend it. That's what is happening in this thread, sorry guys but it is.
If you're seeing it in stores it means they have left overs once those are gone, you probably won't see more until the expansion at least.

That may be the case but it still isn't hard to find locally or on the internet. If like most people I would guess you know your local stores well that carry a good PC selection and who doesn't.
So, i get some money today and im like woot imma go buy AoC and have some fun... I was very wrong... There are no stores around me that are selling AoC anymore, or the timecards, i contacted ebgames and was told the game was being discontinued, same thing with the time card. (live in Ontario, Canada) I have been a long time WoW player and am getting sick of WoW and its easiness, and unbalanced classes, and i tell ya ive tried tons out there. Loved warhammer more then WoW, but the engine in the game totally sucks, and not just badly, but horribly. I could of course buy online, but in the state im in now i dont have a cc or a bank acc, im disabled so i just get by every month. Id be gratefull if a AoC player could make a post about my question and see if ya can get any answers, seems only sub acc's can make posts. Would really like to play some AoC, but looks like i maybe shat out of luck.
Haha i live in Ontario Canada and let me tell you EB games in my area has discontinued PC games altogether for quite some time now.The last game they had anything to do with was WOW xpacs, because they knew they could deal with volume and high profit. It is sad what gaming has turn into, superficial designs based on end game PVP and raiding, downloads only, egos over community...bah.

You can still manage to find Age of Conan in EB stores. You just need to look at the bottom of the shelves. Sometime is packed behind something other. But they are still there, just hard to locate, sadly.
In sweden they still sell AoC in most PC stores and other multimedia stores. Its one of the least expensive MMO's to buy in the stores. Guess that is active marketing from funcom rather then anything about game quality since its a lot better then some other much older games.

To answer your question, AoC copies aren't being sold to stores like Best Buy or EB games. They might have a couple lingering from earlier if you look hard enough. I know one store in my area has some time cards, but no games. Another store has one copy that has been there for over 2 years, but no timecards. If you want it, you'll have to look pretty hard, as they're pretty rare.
But, with all do respect, you should probably deal with all your financial issues before you start playing MMOs. I mean, I'm no financial expert, and I know you weren't looking for financial advice, but I just thought I'd point that out.
Age of Conan offers many payment types. One of which is pay by cash, it costs a little extra, but its basically the same thing, I think there is a way to wire the money also, or even use a money order... But I would make a trial account first, then look at their account screen and figure it out from there. Its not all that hard, I had to buy more time that way when I didn't have a bank card, so it should work. Just take a looksy.
On xfire they have a "Game store". if you look at www.xfire.com and see the list over most popular games in their game store, you will see that AoC is number 2.
So even if they dont sell too many boxes in the shops they have other channels to sell the game. The actual numbers of copies sold pr month i dont know. ..

Sorry. Its a fact that the vast majority of people who bought the box at launch failed to maintain a subscription. Its also a fact the game had massive server merges.
As far as your 'facts' they are frankly laughable. You'd use forum chatter as proof that subs are up? lol. Has the game impoved? Sure. I never said it didn't. The game was launched broken and incomplete. How could it not have improved after all this time. However just because something has improved doesn't make it good. You could improve crap a %1000 but it's still crap.
However just because something has improved doesn't make it good. You could improve crap a %1000 but it's still crap. And yes I've played recently.
That's not fact. That is opinion. There are plenty of posts of people quiting at launch and later coming back and finding out they enjoy the game. I was one of them.

Isn't AoC free until level 20, or was that a limited time offer that you had to get in on before the end of last year?
If it wasn't a limited offer, you can always get in the game for free until you can find a copy and time card.

I'm sure you also remember how the vast majority of the people who bought those copies declined to continue their subscriptions?
And there will always be enough players... at least until they run out of servers to merge.
Sorry, when was the last time you were on? This game has improved TONS in the past year, an expansion will hit this year, and to top that off players have been returning and new blood is always coming as well. The game is recovering.
The difference between our posts is that I can back up everything I said. You can't.
Actually the difference is that you are nothing more then a troll. I can back everything I said up with facts, while you can only voice yours as an outdated trolling opinion.
Server population is up, if you don't believe me, please feel free to log in and check for yourself, read their forums with the returning players, then check patch notes to see how much the game has changed, and been improved. Sorry to hurt your trolling ego.
And yes I've played recently.
That's not fact. That is opinion. There are plenty of posts of people quiting at launch and later coming back and finding out they enjoy the game. I was one of them.
