The GM's in Fallen Earth are very helpful and very fast in giving aid, first time scared the hell out of me when someone suddenly appeared beside me. Best help I have ever seen.
Fallen earth is not a terrible game I would say it is at least mediocre pretty fun solo play from what I can tell. One big problem it has though is over zealous arrogant GMs. They are suspending people from chat more often then any game i have ever seen. When you 1st start playing there is a channel called help and it seems like a global channel not sure though. It is where most of the communication takes place early on. Usually everything is fine every now and then you get a troll and then a fanboi sometimes just an honest gripe, nothing unusual. When a GM starts typing though they are complete assholes and just suspend chat on anyone who is in any way negative. I understand the help channel is for help but it is just stupid to have the only global channel be off limits for general chat.
I have found the *exact opposite* experience with the GM staff on Fallen Earth. They are one of my favorite aspects of the game - they keep the chat channels free from the jerks that ruin the experience for me on so many other games. The GM's are one of the reasons I keep coming back to Fallen Earth. If you or somebody else got banned from a chat channel, I probably wouldn't want you in a game I play, anyway. I have found the GM's to be very fair and to give several warnings before they ban anyone.
Only the worst offenders tend to get punished.
The GM staff is one reason I voted for Fallen Earth as 2009 game of the year. What is your definition of a fanboi. Somebody who enjoys the game?

I agree with how strongly they moderate the /help chat. You can see how awful world chat gets in any other MMO you play. Help chat is for game related topics, not spouting shit like a moron. the FE GMs are pretty awesome.
The only thing that confuses me is how they don't tolerate swearing in chat, but EVERY NPC swears like a sailor.

Are you for real? ,If anything this is great the last thing a games needs is Global Chat Nerd Rage, I for one wish more MMO's did this, might of help Aion from losing 50% of there subs due to Gold sellers and Ragers.
I remember making Carlin or pepper leave help chat, I lead a revolution against help chat lmao. I also remember Xadrien zoning into the pvp zone I was in laughing and hitting me. That is one cool dude, the GMs are very tolerant and help is for help. It all started with a legit compliant and someome smarted off and out of nowhere me and a group of friends just let loose.
situation was resolved with a few slaps and laughs.

The only channel I've seen them really moderate the language is the /help channel, as they should IMO.
You can curse in the regional channels from what I have seen as long as you're not going overboard to irritate people.

Heh, I have a hard time seeing the GMs as the "problem" with Fallen Earth. They were the only thing I LIKED about the game. They really do seem like a top-notch group and a lot of other MMOs could learn from them.
Global channels are cesspools that give @%#^@ a platform to behave like idiots. No MMO should have them. Help is is for help and nothimng else. That's why it's called help not the show how big an ass you are channel.
Actually if global channels where properly moderated in games they would not be cesspools. Of course they seldom (if ever) are. There are arguments for global trade, global lfg and even a global OOC (where you could 'kick' all the arsehats to).

I like the way that is handled. It gives a sense of realism in the NPC dialogue. Characters you'd expect to swear like sailors, e.g. drill sergeants, do. If there were in character role playing channels I'm sure they would allow lingo appropriate for the faction the player belongs to, including swearing. Most players cussing in global channels just give the game a bad vibe, though, and it's hard to control what's appropriate and what is not. Some moderation on language, especially in the help channel, is a lot better than none.
Maybe I'm just weird, but in my opinion cussing NPCs gives the game a more mature feel. Most cussing players drag the maturity levels down.

Give FE a go, one of the best games out.

If by big problem you mean not really a problem at all, I agree.
