Would a dedicated network card help with this?

I have played this game called Nexus TK on and off for nearly 10 years. As you can imagine the games coding probably isn't the best seeing as how old it is. Barring anything changing server side, is there anything I can do about delay in-game? I've included a link below that shows what I mean by delay. At the 1:20 mark it shows fox hunts. These are important to win because fox hunt wins are needed for a "job change" quest. My problem is I am unable to trap the fox, because I see people move 2-4 tiles at a time. This makes it incredibly difficult to predict where someone is going to move to next.

I was thinking about buying one of those Killer Nic network cards like the one listed on the front page of this site on the giveaway. They claim to reduce ping times, and help with managing network traffic, etc, etc. Anyone know if that type of thing would help my issue, and if not, is there anything else?

On a side note... I tried pinging their website in a cmd prompt. I had every ping time out. I am on DSL now, and had this same delay in-game when I had Charter cable before as well.

Going to www.dslreports.com/ and running some tests will probably help you more than buying a $200.00 NIC.

Pure waste of money. Can bring little reduce in pings but only with very heavy games.
