SUN unplayable in USA... WTF?

Took 2 hours to download SUN.

The SUN installer creates a Desktop Shortcut that launches your web browser. Then you have to log in via their web site... then it requires yet ANOTHER download to play the game.

The following message comes up if you are in America:

---

- The page at http://sunonline.webzen.net says:

- ---

- /! Thank you for choosing WEBZEN game!

- The game you chose is not currently available due to geographic restrictions.

- Please use the service provided by the official game site in your country.

- [OK]

---

What in the FRACK is this crap!

THIS IS THE ONLY web page for the game!

Why can't they say that the game is country restricted up front? But heck NO they freaking make you waste your time then ONLY tell you just before you launch the game.

This shows that they did an extremely POOR job on the Game Launcher!

- 100's of game designers launch the game client from your desktop... It is just NOT that freaking hard to do it the RIGHT way.

I have written professional software for over 32 years. NONE of my programs require going to a web page to "log in" to run the program.

It just isn't all that hard to do the job the "RIGHT WAY" the first time.

>:(

Cause the SUN license is owned by Ijji for North America. If you goto Ijji's website then you can play SUN.

In his defense MMORPG.com does have the webzen site listed.

    OP go here. member.ijji.com/register.nhn

While that maybe true, it proves once again that a little research goes a long way.

Actually it means I have a SUN ijji account and that is why I knew where to go.

I just went on webzen's site. Right on the front page are 2 links that tell you that Ijji is the US host for SUN. So, people need to learn to read instead of just looking for the download. So while waiting those 2 hours to download, he should have been reading.

ya reading the info on the webzen site helps, but MMORPG.com should post the ijji site instead of the webzen site.  I think most of MMORPG.com's subscribers will be playing through ijji and not webzen.

Haven't tried the game yet, but this "procedure" to setup and install and actually play is the most anal idiotic process I have ever seen!

I have to agree, it seemed odd to me to.

Also, op, don't feel bad, I did the exact same thing that you did. It wasn't until I poked around on their site that I found a drop down box that "opened" up my eyes that I wasn't in the right place.

Oh yeah, it is imperative to "research" DL and installing a game, LOL.

It seems as though you can't use Firefox to register. Clicking the submit button does nothing in Firefox.
