What about the violence in WoW?

Hello.

When I saw a gameplay movie( a long time ago) WoW seemed to be cool. So now I'm starting. I've already pre-ordered the Collectors edition. But I got one question : In those early movies WoW looked a lot more violent, I saw blood and the fights were more tough. Now that's only what I think, because I haven't even played one single beta. Well I would like to know if WoW still got that violence. I mean Blizzards games has been pretty much bloody evertime. No I'm not a phsyco image, I just don't like it when fights with blades aren't bloody, and when you shoot enemis in action games (Like 99,9 % of EAs Games are :P).

Have you ever played an mmo before? The intense fights come when you go on PvP battles or on raids. The whole drama of the situation seems to excelerate your speed and attention to details from the rush of faceing off against another person, because you know that unlike AI there patterns are more scrambled and they actually have a chance at beating you because they stratigise(sp?). Now about the blood, lol, I'm not too sure never really payed attention to wether or not there is but I'm willing to bet if there is it is minimal due to the fact that it is much more intenseive upon processing.

I don't think that blood is even required in such a game. Take for example EverQuest. There's no blood in the game anywhere and it still has a great gameplay. Also Priston Tale has a good gameplay and makes pretty addictive to it (well, no longer since they really want 10$ a month for a 40% done beta game *lol*).

The fact is that this genre doesn't need violence or blood to be addictive or to fix the gameplay a little. If WoW would have a lot of blood splattering around it wouldn't be that kewl, at least in my opinion.

Yes! I've played a lot of mmorpgs. And I haven't seen so much blood in anyone of them. Well, a little blood splatters when you get shot in Anarchy Online. I was just asking if WoW had blood, because I dont like fights without some good violence. And I  saw that WoW had blood in the earlier gameplay movies. And Blizzard has never made a game without blood. I don't really care about WoW having blood or not, as I said I was just asking. And about PvP : Yes I've experienced that too. Indeed it's a rush to PK or to get Pked. For example, I used to play a simple game called Tibia. In Tibia there was a lot of PK and wars, but those wars were made by the players in Tibia, I don't think that the creators wanted everyone to kill eachother, but this was how people played Tibia. It was a free world. However they changed everything by putting in a "skull system" everyone who attacked would get a skull, and the ones who attacked the skulled players would not get one. This really sucked! That game was so fun before, even though it was simple and had lame graphics.

Don't get me wrong, I still think WoW will be a great game, maybe the greatest MMORPG for now.

Their is blood when you hit creatures and others, it is a rather quick splash of it, but on crit hits I see it larger then on normal hits. image

No blood in this game, well, if you use back stab I think you see a little blood. Guns dont show any blood. Most games dont have it anyways, so no difference.
