Beta login problems

Hi, I was hoping someone here could help since I can't actually post on the mortal online forums.
I created an account last night and downloaded/patched etc. the client and tried to log in this morning when open beta was supposed to start and it said my username or password was incorrect. Which it wasn't. I then proceeded to the forums to ask why this was happening and was greeted with this message upon logging in the the forum home page:
#########, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
Currently playing: No MMOs
Played properly: WoW
Tried: AoC, WAR, Aion, Darkfall
Looking forward to: FFXIV, Earthrise, The Secret World, Guild Wars 2 (very much), Project Copernicus (and Mercury for that matter), Everquest and Planetside Next (finally a meaningful mmofps again)
Wants to play in 2 years time if it survives from the subscriptions of fanatics and turns into the game with all features stated on the website: Mortal Online

Just realised it double posted sorry, when i first did it browser went dodgy halfway through and it didn't show up as posted at first and this one was't finished.

i'm also having the same login problems... incorrect password or username
