Darkfall Mob AI
I'm sure the vets have seen this many times but today I saw a prime example of how good the AI is in Darkfall. I was fighting a Goblin Shaman and kind of kiting him backwards to use magic when a Goblin Scout accidentally shot him in the back trying to hit me. The shaman looking upset, turned around and starting firing on the Scout. They fought each other while I finished off the Shaman and then the Scout lol.
Chasing Shamans around is a feat in itself lol.

Wow, hahaha, that's pretty cool and realist, even monsters with friendly fire that eventually start a fight among themselves accidentally on stupidity :P
This is true and happens alot
One of the best ways to PVE solo is keep the meleeing mob inbetween you and the other mobs that are most likely kiting, so its being hit on both sides while you are protected.
Be advised it does not work on a dragon.
Dude....don't even get me started on goddamn Dragons.

I tried to outswim the Kraken after seeing him coming at me from a mile away. "Aint happening"
Heh, friendly fire is what makes this game unique and fun. I'm always using this strategy while fighting mobs. Keep them in one line and force them to shoot each other

I hate firedragon also... in beta I had to move from alfar land to Yssam. Died twice half way cause of that bastard
Well, is this game worth it? Is there a trial going on or is it happening in the future?
If you like PVP, and don't mind that Darkfall is a difficult game, then yes, it is totally worth it. Especially given the dearth of games like it. As far as I know, Darkfall will not ever have a trial.
Hell ya its worth it. Probly the most fun ive had in a mmo to date.

Just a reminder...the mobs in Darkfall are not AI controlled..they are actually controlled by Adventurine employees, working at home all day..they just have to controll the mob in a specific zone and attack players when they show up...
The kraken is controlled by me, i work part time to Adventurine...
