I just want to warn people if you buy the game the ping maybe a tad higher for you if you live in NA. There is at this time and who knows if ever a NA server. It was brought up many times but they sort of ignored it for now.
I mean there is hope for the future of a NA server since I'm sure just like Darkfall Online 75% are from NA.. But they rather again launch with a none NA server for this game and you know what its their game so they can do what they like.
But since this info is not really out there when your buying a copy from their store I thought I let you know.

AFAIK the current plan at StarVault is to launch with no NA server. However, They have stated in multiple posts that if there is sufficient interest, and they have enough money, that they may open an NA server at some later point.
Point is at this time they don't go the their current datacenter or have hands on with it... More players are NA. NA servers are cheaper. NA servers tends have better ping globally around the world.
In Short NA servers should come first.

Just wait, if the game gets big enough and has a good base of population and income then maybe you will get your little server.
The thing is, a big percent of the population of most p2p games lies in NA so having a server there is pretty common sense. I just hope they don't pull the pay again for client to move to another server later.
The top 10 US citys alone have a higher population than all of AUS. Then you have the rest of the US and the other NA countries.

Not sure what the fuzz is about for not having US servers...
We Europeans have had to do with US-only servers for a long time and managed well (on both coasts of the US). Think the US gamers have to endure some lower latency and play the game anyway.
Not that the latency should that bad. When I played Lineage II, East-coast servers had a ping of 90-110 and West-coast servers had a ping of 190-210. Pretty reasonable and well playable, even in PvP...
I skipped Lineage... was that twitch targeting like Mortal Online?
