WoW, they FINALLY put Nordenwatch in all the tiers? Only a year too late.

    AFT.

This game has never been about winning and losing - just gear grinds. Same as WoW's BG PvP. That was obvious when the Tome didn't even count scenario wins and losses, and the 'everyone's a winner' Scenario participation quests.

It is absolutely stupid to reward losing in PvP - which I have been saying since we learned this game would copy the worst aspect of WoW's BG system.

Does this mean they removed all the other scenarios and that's the scenarios you can play at 1.3.4? Awesome if yes.

Aion, Daoc, EVE, EQ2, FFXI, GW, GW:N, L2, LotRO, RO, SWG, WAR, WoW

    Waiting: FFXIV, SW:TOR, GW2

    Yes.

I believe the factory and twisting tower scens are still in as part of city sieges.

Holy hell. After reading the patch notes I'm actually excited for this patch.

The lack of nordenwatch and ekrund in higher tiers was a major factor in my not enjoying the game much after T1.

Nice.  They took the best scenarios - the ones people want to play - and actually made them the ones that will pop.

I must admit, they keep improving this game and it continues to be a lot of fun.

It's kind of in dubio I think. I hear a lot of people say they actually liked some of the other scenario's as much or even more. The scenario's chosen are 'most played', yes. But that's probably also because they're mostly king of the hill type games, which are easily camped and easily farmed, which is exactly why they are played so much.

That's the going argument at least so far ^^

In any case, they'll probably be rotating the removed scenario's during weekends from what they've said in postings.

The scenario's they are keeping are so good about getting you into the action faster, and not having you feel like your running around doing jackshit half the time... like the vast majority of them. From most of the people I still play the game with, love the new SC changes.

These changes are going to make it good, finally all tiers have access to the growing list of great SCs. Some people love oRvR, but I don't really like it all too much in the fact unless someone organizes warbands well people stand there with their thumbs up their asses scared to move in. Then there is the dying and running all the way across the map with the death penalty to get back and try again, rinse and repeat. For these reasons I prefer SCs t4 is the exception on oRvR for me.

    These changes are epic.

I assume you mean with the rotations? Because they just reduced 24 scenario's to 6 >.<

It is fine when you are in a decent group. Most groups though people refuse to learn how to win it and one side slaughters the other. People don't listen and don't defend and thus it is hell over half the time trying to play it.

Not to mention it often runs the full 15 minutes and gives less reward than others.

I would have left it in T1, at least, and Stonetroll Crossing in T2 (rather than Ekrund).

The only one i dislike, that they are keeping... is Gates of Ekrund. Something about it, i just fricken can't stand at all. I could care less though... seeing how sc's like Thunder Valley and Tor Anroc are gone :D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ekrund is like Nordenwatch - except that it favours melee classes with all the LOS obstructions. In that way, it is a good scenario to include.

Now if they would just remove all scenarios and put the focus on meaningful ORvR then I would resub today.

Not to be rude or anything but I said it several times and will say it again. Just because you do not like them does not in no way mean that they need removed. I love them as does tons of other people, get over it. Move along if you cannot stand playing a game where you can have oRvR fun while others have their SC fun. oRvR is more then active as is SCs if you cannot play witht he thought others are having fun in ways you do not then please stay far, far away from these forums and WAR altogether, I am tired of hearing the hate over spoiled people not having it their way and expecting everyone to do one or the other.

Move along. No one is forcing you to play it, and what you seek will never be done, so you waste your time and every one elses time reading and replying to you.

I don't see how this new patch will attract new players. Not only are they grinding away these scenarios as they're leveling, but now that's they all have to look forward to when they reach tier 4. This patch is throwing huge red flag that the community isn't active enough to keep a full scenario rotation alive. Or maybe it's just financial because they are going to make some playable on the weekend. I'm not sure the developers know what to do anymore with this game.

Wrong, if you grind them that is your problem. If you enjoy playing them and play them to have fun its not grinding its playing and enjoying the game. In t4 there is cities to cap, and oRvR of larger and more balanced scales along with the fast fun offered in SCs. This patch is correcting something that has been an issue since launch, it has nothing to do with population. All SCs require the same number of players more or less. The reason this is being done is because several of the SCs flat out sucked. Another reason is the simple fact there was too many of them which spread people too thin. Not population mind you but too many options and thus slower queues and people being turned away due to the majority of the SCs not being as well made or fun as the ones they are keeping.

One thing I am sure of is they know what they are doing and continue to improve it, if you are not paying a subscription fee and you hate the game, leave these forums and stop talking about the game. It helps no one and only goes to show you somehow in a  twisted way like the game but hate it and want it to die but refuse to stop speaking on it and just get a life and play a different game.

Opinions are fine, attacks on the game and its developers that are seeking to improve it is sadistic and uncalled for. This game has issues, all games specially MMOs do. This one however is trying their guts out to improve and fix mistakes people such as yourself coming in here all the time to insult the game are just like some sadistic people of the world kicking someone while they are down.

    Love it, play it.

    Hate it, leave it.

But most of all you have no right speaking without an active subscription just as you have no right speaking about matters on company you hold no stock in. You said nothing and will say nothing constructive so move on now.

Some at War HQ development have finally seen the errors in the game's design.

You have to regroup players not seperate them in different Tiers, scenario's, RvR zones.

If I would redesign War, I would try to find a system that has RvR results based on clustered servers and scenarios. And concentrate to regroup players. RvR based on single server status is using (very) old techniques of DAoC.

People want to play and PvP all the time without waiting times and searching for players.

The problem is not the idea (or potential) of RvR, but its execution was wrongly implemented. You have to regroup your players as much as possible these days.

Want a real mmorpg? Play WOW with experience turned off mode and be Pve_Pvp King at any level without a rat race.

It's far more than "you don't have to play it, so why do you care!". Hey, look around your little avatar. See all that empty space? See that nice merged and compacted server list? You can thank the scenario grinding that killed ORvR for that.
