Im seeking for a different game! I just cancelled my wow sub til Catalysm arrives. Is there any suggestions that would make me interested? :/

Yes, I attempted to purchase Darkfall BUT it's down as usual. For 3 days. So I couldn't face the experience of being ganked and looted off my corpses x3234234 times - Too bad I'll be missing out the pleasure, but until then.. what else shall I play?

I've tried out almost everything except EVE, STO, Global Agenda, ect. I'm not really into Sci-Fi mmo's excluding Star Wars Pre-Cu.. as I do with the TV shows.

Totally interested in quests, a great community, guilds, pvp, crafting system, housing (not necessary though), up to par graphics but could settle with less if it's a good game itself, mmm.. Im not really picky. So what you got in mind?

It's so frustrating after looking on this site, onrpg, mmohut, mmosite & betawatcher and yet still don't get convinced by just checking out the game list. I'd rather hear from my peers based on their opinions other than just acknowledging the game titles that have been mentioned through hype and that makes me interested enough? No.

You probably will get the feeling that I'm very wary and bored of mmo's like most of you are, but the truth is.. I don't give up. I absolutely love gaming and the society of it all. It's fabulous. See these games I have?! i45.tinypic.com/2woye87.jpg lol

Here we goooooooo. Your turn.

Have you thought about Aion? When i did play the server i was on had a pretty good community and people liked to team up. Well you might like it but it is light of content to say the least.

Edit: Also you can craft anything but only become a master at one or two cant remember. and the pvp can be fun if you dont mind getting ganked from time to time.

Actually I was in Aion Beta and also purchased the game. Cancelled it after 2 weeks. Didnt keep my interest very long enough :/ Thanks for the suggestion though.

What about DoAC or Asherton's Call? Empty? Populated?

DAoC Still has some player base but its not going to be what you had in wow. The game does seem to be something a lot of people say is worth trying out. I would not  know i have not played it in years and when i did it was not for very long. The game has a free trial so its worth giving it a look at least. Sorry i cant be of more help but i have given up on the mmo world as of late.

Try Ryzom, has a 21-day free trial and I'm milking the hell out of it.

u might wanna try out Everquest 2

Crafting system is simple but the mastercrafted items(items crafted by rare ore) are better than 90% of your quest rewards, and you get a rare find bout 1 outta 20 tries, give or take 50 tries :D

PvP system is level restricted(IE in places you can only attack peeps 4 levels lower than you, the higher the level range the higher the difference)

descent server pops(especially since the server merges

    Tons of Quests

The only reason why i am not playing EQ2 is because of the quests.  you say you like quests, well your gonna love this game.  for if your in a PvP server your gonna want your AA points(Alternate advancement, kinda like the point tree you did in WoW) maxxed for the level your at.  and in order to do that, your gonna have to discover new areas, kill named mobs, and Do a Ton Load of Quests.  For me I like quests, but i don't wanna spend a Week just gettin my lvl 15 char maxxed AA.  but if you like quests then EQ2 is your game.  and the fact is, you don't have to be totally anal about your AA points, you can just level normally(but if you hate losing at PvP, then your gonna want your AA points maxxed for your level and you level up)

they have a free trial.  and yes it's a SOE product, and it'll prolly take you 4-6 hours downloading the game.  But if you Love Quests, this is the game for you.

Have to agree if your looking for a non wow quest driven MMO then not only is EQ2 a good suggestion it is your only real option.

I am personally not a great fan of PVE Quest Fests but EQ2 is well written and not a constant kill 10 return run 900 mile return that it actually held my interest to 70 I then stopped playing as I think the expansions do not offer £30 almost twice a years worth of content.

The EQ2 community for the most part is good on every server I played on and even in lower levels theres almost always groups going.

It is showing its age a little and its extremely poorly optimised at maximum graphic's so getting that cutting edge look will require a cutting edge machine.

It isnt a get to max level in a month and if not loads of time to invest you may find yourself not hitting end game until cataclysm actually arrives. (unless there have been XP changes since i played 2 years ago)

As the poster quoted states there is a trial and the 15 days on offer is more than enough to guage whether you will enjoy EQ2 its certainly worth a look.

Yeah, I'd try Ryzom, EQ or Vanguard.

Asheron's Call is dead except for the people that have been there for ages. Same with Dark Age of Camelot, I hear.

I also recommend Lord of the Rings Online. I personally found the game a ton of fun and the vast improvements Turbine keeps making is astounding, to say the least. But, tons of quests, beautiful graphics, combat and movement are very similar to WoW.

I would have to agree with Elocke

You could try LOTRO, allthough from looking at your desktop pic, it looked like you may already have.  I don't know how far you got into the game, but it does offer tons of quests, housing, crafting, mostly everything you asked for..

If you can let go pvp, ryzom and lotro would be great choices.
