Heya!
I'm really pumped for this game! But is it just me or is there an overwhelming lack of information O.o I don't know....it just seems most companies seem to like to brag about their MMOs these days.....but not SE. I'd understand if it was a RPG like any of the other final fantasies.....but its an MMO and we want to be able to plan ahead before we get the game and what not. Then again maybe they don't want to over-hype the game and make people's expectations unreal so that they get let down....
Also what are you playing while you wait for this to come out? I tried the FFXI trial but was sorely disappointed that almost noone else played 
and I couldn't get anywhere with just me cause it was highly group based (and that is fine....when you have a population). So now I'm trying out EvE..I like it so far, its like an interactive screen saver, I can get alot of work done playing it. Cause its so boring.

LOL, ok well... same here, can't wait for this game! Not much info is out, not sure why SE does what it does but I'd guess even if they wanted to promote it they'd wanna wait until after 13 comes out. I remember they didn't promote FFXI either... FF fans will know though
well EVE is boring if you dont have someone to "nerd" it with
basic game...go mine fly back ..sell....back sit back watch....back
same go for killing rats. EvE is good fun but takes time to get into, and even more if you dont have anyone to guide you abit...mind only playing this when me RL friends all of sudden have time for a gaming night....so playing very casual.
my hype about this game atm...high...playing darkfall at the moment even if not really my kind of game...but atleast its an MMO - not like the more popular titles at the moment.
the info is limited and cant wait for this game to disappoint me, but reading about FFXI is really what makes me excited about this one....which may be dumb, but sounds like they know to make a good MMO, and not go the "WOW way" (and now eq2) as in full instance runs with random chance of some loot, with no purpose but to show off.
actually find it quite fun that this game can reach the top of hype meter, with this little info out. seen afew gameplay vids and teasers...
I'm use to this suspense from SE after playing FFXI from day one of PS2 launch they give out information slowly up till the actual patch or expansion but once you get a lot of the information near the launch you will get more and more hyped.
As for what I will be playing right now unsure just got a new PC today might get back into FFXI again or find something else for awhile.

Well the hype is huge because it is a SE title. SE is a trustworthy company and we know they can make a good game.
In regards to what I am playing, that would be Fifa 2010 when I actually sit down to play anything these days. In all honesty I am waiting for March 9th to roll around and back hand me in the face because I can't wait for 13 to come out.
I play WoW with my buddies, but only when they're on and want to do something.
Other then that, plenty of upcoming console games I've been wanting to play. WKC, FFXIII, Star Ocean International...
Tbh, SE don't get half the hype as a publisher as, say, Bioware do. Their games tend to stand or fall on their merits. We all know they can make not so good games as well
I have faith in FF 13 and 14 both though.
What am i playing while I wait though? I am sure there will be some Borderlands in there, as well as some DA:O, Bioshock 2, Def Con, and, as always, some Civ 4 until 13 gets here.
One thing I DO know though... no mmorpgs until 14 arrives.
There's one thing for sure, no MMO until 14 is coming. The last one I played was Aion and it lasted 3 weeks. I think a break will be good and refreshing. Been playing mindless games so far like MW2. Will probably play BFBC2 if my PC can run it decently and waiting for 13 and GT5 on the PS3. Might try some RPG (NieR, Resistance of Fate, Star Ocean etc. hehe) on the PS3 too while I wait hehe.
I think it's good that SE doesn't release too much information too early. I'd rather have them polishing and working on awesome game mechanics than relaying on marketing their game to sell copies. I like the way to do it at the moment. I hate hyped games cause they always seem to fail to deliver because of high expectations.
EVE and FFXI
Work, attempted to get a girl, Dragon Age, poker, Boarderlands, Disgaea 3, finish achievement whoring Fallout 3 on the 360, poker, NHL10, waiting for the Nexus One to come to Verizon, a few novels, poker, WoW, poker, poker, and less we forget poker. Maybe I'll hit up Katsucon next weekend. Convince a few scantily clad women to come back to my room and play poker would knock out like three things off the list.... Super bowl party ... Final Fantasy VII and VIII and Tactics ...
In the future: Final Fantasy XIII, hockey (actually playing not the video game), ... maybe I'll see if any show are worth my time acting in too >.> ... too many possibilities before my life ends for another 6 years....

At most, I can only hope this game will keep me mildly interested until Star Wars comes out. I'm not even too sure that will happen either.

Tbh, if I was that underwhelmed BEFORE I started playing a game I wouldnt even shell out the price of the box...
There are other things to do, y'know? :P
I am playing allods online. I am only level 10 atm but my character will be wiped once OB starts the 16th, but so far its one of the best f2p games that I have tried. The only fear I have is the cash shop items which have yet to be opened.

White Knight Chronicles - a JRPG with a multiplayer element that is very interesting. The next wave of great online rpg's could take a hint from this one.

Yep gonna play this till SWOTOR comes out as well.
Still playing vanguard. Left twice for other games and came back both times. Maybe when I leave for FF14 it will be "three's the charm".
I like getting info on MMOs as much as the next guy... but I think less information might (MIGHT!) be better. Getting tons of information kind of kills the journey of learning about the game. I noticed I had a lot more fun when playing FFXI and WoW (2 games I didn't read a thing on) than the games i followed.
Star Wars can't touch this game.
While I agree I enjoyed SW themed games, Star Wars should have died with the racist director (no Asians).
I have to say, I love Bioware in general but SWToR is looking poor to me right now.... We will see.
It's all about the Bioshock 2 for me right now, then back to DA:O when the expansion goes live, then to FFXIII.
Thats the plan to hold me for a while
