Whats your Most Anticipated MMO?

Since the failures of PvP in Aion, i've been looking on the horizon for a new MMO. In my studies i've concluded with 2 choices, what are yours?

Guild Wars 2 - Should be a relative safe bet considering how successful the original Guild Wars was. I hope for some great PvP times in this game. The major change is a large persistant world to adventure in, another appealing factor is the no monthly charge.

My sleeper choice is The Secret World. Funcom didn't deliver with AoC but im willing to give them another chance. This game has a very original setting and post modern theme which appeals to my tastes. Whether it succeeds is another factor ... i just hope for a fun game.

Mabinogi Heroes is my pick for most anticipated MMORPG.

Anything and everything really, all games have an equal amount of success rate if you ask me.

What i'm looking to play the most this year would be mortal online though, although after beta it seems i have a long wait before i can fully enjoy it.

I would agree with TSW and for me Rise of the Godslayer for AOC.  So with this in mind >>> WHAT ROCK HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING UNDER? ... :)  AoC didn't deliver at the start sure but man it changed loads since.  in fact today is patch day for part one of 1.06 with guild renown (over 100 items/objects/quests to earn), pvp arenas, Teir 3 raids, raid token system....  then to come soon is PVP Shrine of Bori, PVP Towers and THE SEIGE FIX (which is on test atm).

Oh and the epxac RotGS with 5 more playfields, new dynamic mounts, alternative advanement system (WHICH IS GOING TO BE HUGE) and loads more.

    I was just saying... ;)

Other than that it is a light year tbh no one looking forward to a new Craptic game then?  They could probably develop a new MMORPG, release it and then screw over the players in 10 months! ROFL

I no longer have one, there's been too many disappointments over the last couple of years so I'm just going to see what appears and give it a try. I doubt there will be anything in the near future for a significant amount of time, they just don't make MMOs that can hold my interest anymore.

The only title I'm actually looking forward to is CCP/White wolf's World Of Darkness.

Waiting on TOR.  Keeping an eye on TSW against my better judgement.

Kinda looking forward to new updates to the current MMORPG that has gotten me, Fallen Earth, so far not seeing any of the upcoming games to take me away from it. Tho I am sure I will be trying some of them regardless.

SWTOR, Citadel of Sorcery, Dawntide, FFXIV and Heroes of Telara

I'm looking forward to The Secret World.

For now, Fallen Earth and it's immediate future are what's most anticipated for me though.

Einherjar_LC says: WTB the true successor to UO or Asheron's Call pst!

Guildwars 2, it seems like the game I and many others have been waiting for the last few years.

But I keep my eyes open for TOR and WoDO, and possibly Copernicus and the zombie MMO that Strain started on recently.

The zombie MMO is console only in case you didn't know.

FFXIV, TOR, and Guild Wars 2. If none of these hold my attention for long then I might just have to give up the MMORPG genre altogether.

Still looking forward to Guild Wars 2 and TOR, and both are coming out next year. Which actually is a good thing because I'm going to be extremely busy this year.

But other than that, I have yet to find any other games I'm interested in.

    Main characters:
    Jinn Gone Quiet (Guild Wars)
    Princess Pudding (Guild Wars)

FFXIV and WoD are the 2 that im really waiting for.  I've seriously been thinking of quitting MMO's till FFXIV releases since I kinda feel burnt out and since FFXI was my favorite mmo, I think I may just get addicted again.

In order I'd say The Secret World (because it looks so unique), FFXIV, KOTOR, and Guild Wars 2.

My sleeper choices would be Blade and Soul, but there is so little information about that game and it's going to be a long ways away from a US release.  At that point I'm sure I'll be busy with any of the above MMOs anyway, so I'm doubting if I'm going to be able to even give that one a shot.  World of Darkness also looks like it might be worth looking into.

Keeping my eye on The Secret World as well, but not getting my hopes up. I'm content with Darkfall anyway, and I doubt anything could pull me away.

Guild Wars 2 hands down. I think those who did not play the original will find Guild Wars 2 to be more to their liking this time around.

FFXIV is the only MMO that interests me. If for some reason that fails then im done with MMOs.

Im also cautiously keeping an eye on The Secret World.

  • EvasiaEvasia Member Posts: 2,827

Secret world seems nice but im affraid as true pvper(free for all with full loot)ill still be playing Darkfall.

TERA Online and FFXIV. They're both very ambitious projects but it's hard to say if either of them will do well.

No other new MMOs on the horizon look even remotely interesting to me.
