Solution to Unable to Connect Error

It appears theyve really borked the launcher, such that I couldnt get in at all. Since I also dont have permissions to post on Mortal forums for some reason, here is my solution.

Run updater.exe from the mortal online folder as many times as it takes to download a new launcher, then itll run launcher and you can play.  This wouldnt be a major issue except for the total lack of communication from Starvault.

Thanks a lot, i was thinking they were still applying the patch all day. Hopefully i can play today, havent been able to because of all these problems since beta started.

If you guys check out their twitter page, they post up if the server is down or up. I just formatted my HD and installed windows 7, so i dont have the web address memorized, otherwise i would post it up for you guys.

I figure most downloading issues stem from not looking in the option menu next to the start button in order to change the bandwidth limits that were set to [off]. I was wondering why I couldn't get the damn patcher to DL, then just set it to max 1000, min 100, and soon enough I was downloading at 500+kbps. Now whether you get that scan error message after is questionable, as I still get it once in a while when trying to log in. I just restart the patcher and it usually works 2nd or 3rd try.

This way, it only took me a total of 10 mins to get everything up and running. You only download the updated patcher and a 4mb patch through patcher.exe.
