all I can say, is a whole lot. I still play Everquest, but will probably be leaving it soon because the community is much more quiet and small...its not the EQ community that I remember a couple years ago. Will I be one that moves from EQ to EQ2, probably not, unless they come out with a free trial, so then I can download a whole 4gb+ file, (how many CD's is it again?) 12?

It is a big game, but then again how many CD's are all the origional EQ + expansions? There are a lot of CD's because the graphics are great and there is a lot of content.

Although it did seem that many players left the EQ community with the release of EQ2 it doesn't seem to have affected the gameplay as much as most people anticipated. There are still plenty of people around the game to interact with and in my opinion the community is just as good as it was before. But maybe I just know nothing.

Only notice a few gone from my surver. Mainly the ones that would be OCC all the time, the ones trying to start fights and what not. Was about 3 days where numbers looked low but could still find groups. You notice numbers are still down but from my guild we only have one or two that even went to EQ2 they still atend raids.

I have two EQ buddies at work.

One tried EQ2 and hates it (he does like the high end of the game), the other cant afford a new computer to try it.

My advice to anyone enjoying EQ, play it til your bored then try EQ2 or WoW but not until. They wont be going anywhere...

Now playing: VG (after a long break from MMORPGS)
Played for more than a month: Darkfall online, Vanguard SOH, Everquest, Horizons, WoW, SWG, Everquest II, Eve

I have noticed one positive change! ::::40:: Many of the noob players have moved on to try out the new games (WoW and EQ2). Which means, until they get bored or kicked out of those games, Norrath will be a cleaner place. ::::20::

My dog barks some. Mentally you picture my dog, but I have not told you the type of dog which I have. Perhaps you even picture Toto, from "The Wizard of Oz." But I warn you, my dog is always with me.

Wow, maybe most o' the a-holes left! That could actually help this game. The community hasn't been worth a flip since the beginning, Oh how I remember the first 2 years, they were the best times I've ever had in virtual reality, SOE as much as I hate you - you gave me 2 really good years of quality entertainment. Unfortunatly you gave me 3 of the worst years of empty promises of the good ol' days. I thought with e'ry expansion how much better it would be. You jaded me and I'm trying dern hard to forget you!

This is one of the elitest scumbags that makes the game not fun anymore. Thanks for identifying yourself. Doesn't even welcome the newbs who want to enjoy what they enjoy.

You are very much like a virus, a sore spot on the gaming community.
