So, pretty much if your not into PvP, don't play EVE? Personaly I don't like PVP, its too frustrating, griefing and whatnot. So, will I get anywhere in EVE, or just be annoyed?

    Simple Explination:

Risk depends on the system security ratiing 1.0 (perfectly safe) to 0.0 (lawless).

In systems with a sec status of greater than 0.5 if any player attacks you (outwith wars) then CONCORD warp in and blow them apart.

You can make money in many ways, combat, missions, trading, manufacturing, miniining the list goes on.

No. EvE has built in protection for new players, and any player, who does not want to PvP. There are uber-level NPC police called "Concord". No PvP loving player will on purpose attack a player and lose their ship on purpose to Concord.

There ARE areas in deep space that are not patrolled by Concord. But this is not the entire game. And PvE players do not need to go to those areas if they do not want to. Even if one does go to those areas, PvP in EvE is not instant. You can run, you have shields AND hull armor, defending you. If your shields are going low, it is kind of obvious time to run. No matter if it is vs PvP or PvE.

Hehe...Alkatraz has been playing this game from day 1:D

    I concur!

EVE-Online is the best game there is :), show me something that beatiful and adrenaline pumping and ill switch right away.

PK is great, sure stakes are high (its supposed to be) otherwise people will just suicide all the time == boring.

take it from a long time eve player, it rocks.. sure it can be boring sometimes when ur sitting in station waiting for something to happen.. depending on where you are of course, in empire space you can always find something to do.

    Over and out.

in other words, anyone with half a brain isen't going to lose much more than a week of training, max.

    Couldn't said it any better.
