Good concept behind it, bad implementation along with being made by an indie company its quite buggy and un finished. Although i believe given dedication from devs, it should be worth another shot in a few months.

Are you or have you been in the CB ?
Yes, Gabby and I both were in the CB. I was there from the first one and played on and off. Great concept, but a few things need fixed. Mainly skills.

Sounds good, though Gabby's opinion seems to be a bit worse than yours...still i'm looking forward to try this game

With the classless system it's gonna literally take them a long time to balance it properly if they even manage to, skills at the moment are quite un balanced but they didn't have enough manpower to test it on a big scale so maybe there just waiting till OB to see what needs fixing.

If you mean combat skills that won't keep me back from playing it, since i'm not interested in PvP...but i guess it can be an issue for someone who is.

I think the worst part was they gave only 25-50 keys to each of the giveaway sites, and along with that, most players were Russian, and the English and Italian-speaking audiences couldn't even ask for help, not to mention most of the GMs were Russian.
Then when handing out keys to random applications themselves, they did 100 at a time like 3 times, coming to a total of less than 1000 testers before open beta, so I'd say they seriously lacked the manpower.
Also, reading the closed beta forum would make you cringe. Their English-speaking GM had no idea wtf he was talking about and the communication b/t the community and devs themselves was inexistent so you constantly had to communicate between the community that knew exactly what was wrong, but still were primarily Russian and their English text was broken to the point of using "y" for "you" or trust that the clueless GM_Syrius got it right for once.

We're not trying to keep you from playing it. We want it to be good as much as anyone. Just pointing out what the issues are currently.
There were huge latency issues for the US, but they fixed that by the second closed beta week, so I'm hoping they have the power to fix everything else, as well.

True, i've seen them grab some interest by MMO sites so maybe open beta would be a lot more productive but we'll see.
Hmm i think there is a neutral race, the Atlantians...am i wrong ?
They aren't in game yet and that doesn't change the fact that it's a pvp focused game and i wouldn't really recommend it to anyone looking for a great PVE experience.

Yeah, the biggest things I want for Craft of Gods before I'm willing to pay for it:
I want direct communication with the developers in some way, shape or form. It's complete bullshit that an indie company is patching me through to a GM that doesn't know shit about technical issues which probably get reported incorrectly later.
I want them to fix the skills. All the CB players know it was unbalanced.
I want a tutorial. No more wandering around doing quests and not even understanding that you can allocate skill points whenever you want or that you can tame any animal without restriction and then ride it, regardless of what it is, afterwards as long as you have the tame skill.
I want them to fix translations. No more "Sit down" command where it should say "Mount."
I want them to push an English audience. The Russians have caught on, but most of them speak broken English or don't at all and asking for help even on the forums was left up to them.

Comments
I do, Open Beta begins February 18th.
Lets hope they don't let us down as MO did.
Better to be crazy, provided you know what sane is...
Agreed. Going to do the OB as well.
On the forums some NA CB testers said that their ping times were in the 500's or higher. Also, atm there are no NA servers planned.
Going to try that game though PvP sounds pretty lame and I doubt there will be RP.
More level grind, as if I'm not tired enough of it?
Once upon a time....
Im gonna take the OB too. I like the classless design and the housing.
The classless ability is intriguing and it too is what is drawing me into the OB.
Can I speak to the opposite faction?
No, you cannot
I like RvR, always liked DAoC, but this is a bad feature IMO.
It's a pity I cannot register an account since the Email they send me are blank.....................

It could be great...when they fix the skill bar...and make a tutorial. Heh, I was totally lost in CB when trying to use the skills book.
Stoked for OB though and I hope they made a lot of improvements b/t CB and OB.
Definitely a dedicated dev with several F2Ps under their belt. Can't wait to see where CoG goes in the future.
Could be the next best thing to a modern DAoC if they make a few improvements =D
Check out the MUD I'm making!

Nonetheless, it is a new take on PvE.

Yup, i agree with that completely.
I'm curious as to how complete many of the listed features on the website are, such as housing, the 2-3 dungeons per zone, thousands of quests, etc.??
