I'm a Colts fan...and while watching the Colts lose, I wasn't thinking "man this sucks my team is losing" I was thinking "man i don't want to hear all of the "whodat" bullshit for the next month...I guess i'll take a break from ESPN."
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

Next Month.,you kidding, probably all through next season unless they do terribly bad starting off. Some people even think Manning threw the game, dont know myself something about an Espn article where they allready announced NO as the winners pregame then was taken off site, maybe just conspiracy theory but that definitley wasnt the Peyton I have been used to watching over the years
In the HBO series hard knocks, wasn’t "who dat" the cry of the Cincinnati Bengal’s as well? I thought they said it started in the 80's or maybe even earlier.

The chant has much older origins actually. Jazz, World War II, the Baton Rogue/New Orleans university/high school teams , and even the 1980's Bengals "Who Dey" are all there.
I won't tire of hearing it because the Saints losing the playoffs were a reason I stopped watching football.
I'm just glad to say I've been alive at a time when the Saints won the Super Bowl.

I'm from Louisiana and we were using it as a high school cheer in the 70's. The pronunciation of "Dat" comes from the cajun pronunciation. Cajuns tend to turn "th" into "D" when speaking. The Bengals use "Who Dey" in their cheer. The cheer is much older than either team and the argument over who stole it from who is like arguing over who stole "We're number 1" from who. It doesn't matter and it's all about having fun and enjoying a sport.
BTW (to the conspiracy theory about Payton), Manning has played like this before. He does not play as well when he gets a lot of pressure on him (much like every other QB in the league). Watch the first quarter of the Jets playoff game. Normally he is able to adjust and call plays that beat the pressure. That is one reason he is so good. He beat the Saints pressure a number of times in this game. Watch the 1st touchdown drive by the Colts. He audibled to a running play (or screen) everytime the Saints brought pressure and drove the field on them. Williams (Saints defensive coordinator) changed how he was disguising the blitzes in the second half and Manning didn't always spot them before the snap. This resulted in several balls thrown away by Manning (when he thought they were blitzing and didn't) and several almost picks and a pick.
Manning is too much of a competitor to throw a game like this. Conspiracy theories like that are just the excuses of sore losers. When I'm not pulling for the Saints I pull for the Colts because of Manning. Show your team some respect and accept the loss as just getting outplayed. It happens.

For the Bengals it was "Who Dey!" Yeah, I know almost the same thing.

I was tired of it the first time i heard it, its lame, they should really try harder for something better.
