Some of the games I played: WoW, EQ2, Runescape, Darkfall. I need something that is player driven( economy, pvp etc). I tried Darkfall for 2 months, it was fun, but some things that ruined the game for me: No skill cap whatsoever, everyone can craft everything, you have grind x number of months to "experience" the game, no world sounds at all (unless you count mob sounds). I may go back when they implement heavy specializations (not what they have now) and fix the crafting (item value isn't really there per say, more of "I'll just make a ton of gold in a few hours and buy another one" mentality).
For instance, it seems like if one wants to be competetive, one has to be a hybrid build, using archery, magic, and range. I don't want to melee, period. I want to craft and be a mage, and put my house wherever I please. I can't do that in darkfall. I can't be a master craftsmen, because everyone else can do it. This breaks the game for me. I also cannot deal with some who play (extreme amounts of cursing, no organization, leadership doesn't exist; this is what Cairn alliance was like). Race chat was worse, it breaks the immersion factor.
I don't want PVP to be the main aspect of the game, it seems too shallow. I want player driven economy, meaningful crafting, meaningful pvp, FFA full loot, the whole shebang, but I don't want PVP to be the primary focus. I want the game to be set in high fantasy, not sci fi. What do you guys recommend?

Only sandbox around is EVE Online and it's pretty good
Give MO a few months to progress, and then give it a try.
Honestly I think UO might be close to that at least closer than anything I am aware of that is active as of now.
Have you looked into Vanguard? Game is a little empty, but it has some die hard fans and it will let you do the whole master craftsman thing.
EvE and UO are about the only two games I can think of that are that close to what you want. EvE has alot more politics and a bigger learning curve than UO.
There exists no absolute sandbox MMORPG yet. Only some that are more sandboxy than others.
I don't remember any game that fits your description. I think that especially the chances for finding a game that is FFA with full loot, but where the PvP ain't the main aspect, tend to zero.
Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)
Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)
LinkRealms and the open source edition of Myst Online are the closest you will get to a true sandbox MMO. Both will allow you to create your own world, albeit a little more difficult in MO:ULagain.

You've not played many games then have you? Eve had Meaningful PVP and FFA full loot and PVP isn't necessarily the main asspect. The same with UO (if you travel between the shards to adventure for the more dangerous to obtain item), meaningful pvp and crafting. In you UO you can craft everything from food to clothes to boats to houses and if you die on the Feluccia shard or on the of the full pvp servers you are fully lootable to anyone within distance immediately. PVP is also not the main aspect of the game although it was in the beginning.
I would say give Fallen Earth a shot. It does not meet all your requirements but it comes close enough. You will not find a game that has everything you want so you will have to live with a few things that you may not like.
Thanks for the suggestions guys
Darkfall, while it was an amazing game, almost burned me out of the genre. It was to the point that I was grinding 4+ hours a night (yes I was in a guild), for about 3 weeks. The game started affecting real life (no sleep, ugh, won't EVER make that mistake again). Everything seems to be based around grind, grind, grind in that game. I realize the grind has been reduced. Notice that I listed runescape in my original post, while it didn't have housing (from what I understand), the game was surprisingly deep once you subscribed. Runescape, in my opinion, has more grind than any mmorpg I've played, period, but the game's grind was actually fun. Dungeons were populated, and had some AWESOME drops.
I've made a promise to myself, and that promise is that I'm NEVER going to allow another game to FORCE me to grind just to "experience" the game. I realize that every mmorpg has a grind of some sort, that it is masked by mechanics in the game. My definition of grinding, in this case, is doing what I don't want to do for weeks upon weeks, just to be competetive with everyone else. That is EXACTLY why I'm tired of PVP mmos that I've played, because it seems like everyone that I come in contact with has this mentality of being the freakin top dog. I'm not in it for that, I'm in it for the fun. When I was playing Darkfall, the guild I was in seemed so persistent on catching up with the vets of the game (some of the vets were members of the guild). Who the heck wants to hit a crog for hours upon hours upon HOURS, to get skill ups for magic or archery. The game is supposed to be fun, and the little enjoyment that I did get was helping out newbies, and protecting them in the starter lands.
I did buy into Mortal Online, because I loved the concepts they were producing on the powerpoint slides. I was in Block A of beta, I know what the early days were like in that game. The developers are up-front, honest people, and I realize that a lot of pressure is on them to produce a good game. I hope the game succeeds. In fact, I'm going to redownload the beta client tonight, fire the game up again, and just do some gathering and crafting.
I was also in Fallen Earth's beta, and at first wasn't really impressed. I like where the direction of the game is going though. I realize that crafting is meaningful in the game, are there master crafters in the game? It's been a while since I've played the game, I might try the free trial.
Will be updated later.
I've also been looking into Gnostaria which seems to be like Mortal with a few style changes from what the devs have said. I posted about it here.
EDIT: Their Twitter said Alpha 2 starts on March 6th and all you need is a site account. I'm taking part, for sure, given those requirements.

I don't want to get my hopes up, but that game looks promising as well. Do you have any more info as to who is in charge of that game?
