Will it be a mmo? Will it have better stat tracking? Prizes? Tournaments? seems like they took away the mod ability of the PC version as a precursor to this now... What do you think?

omg...the ceo said they are LOOKING INTO THE POSSIBILITY of adding extra p2p options.
1-that means its a possibility, not def.
2-there always the non pay way,
please stop spreading rumors.
"If you think about the success we've had in other product categories on subscription, you can get a sense of the direction that we want to take that franchise," he said..
That's the quote.. what you are saying and what he said are two different things.
really?
i WANT to go to africa this summer...does that mean im GOING to go to africa? no.
we can agree to disagree..
Their total lack of respect to their own game and brutal monitoring of player activities, means i would never support them even on free servers,p2p servers is laughable. The game is infested by cheating and has a real dumb design that is far from realistic war game play.
Tournaments?how could they ever run tournaments when they cannot control cheating at all nor do they care if players cheat?Their design favors melee,so until they clean up the REALISTIC balance of game play and have better animations that don't glitch so badly when using melee, the game is laughable.
I wonder how many soldiers over in Iraq are running from hut to hut with a knife ?...lmao NOT !.I wonder how many are told they are not allowed to reload ,you have a ammo limit... lmao.Infinity Ward should give up pretending they know how to make a war game.
Infinity Ward is considering P2P for ONE reason only, they see money before their eyes, they do not care about game play at all.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
All of them? lol. There are Ammo limits IRL. lol
@OP: No matter what they do to this game, it still amazes me how badly they can destroy what could have been the best FPS franchise in history. I had alot of hope for MW2.

I disagree. They should not "Clean up the realistic balance of game play," because Call of Duty is not a realistic game. Its an arcade shooter, not a simulation. When I want a fast action arcade style modern warfare shooter, I'll play CoD. When I want my slower tactical realistic modern warfare simulation, I'll play ArmA 2. Two completely different games, for two completely different subgenres of FPS. Infinity Ward does not need to change anything in their game design. Its a design that a lot of people, including myself, love... Why would they change it?
Secondly, the cinematic atmosphere of the game. In the game, you're basically playing a movie. You'll see things taken from a lot of pop-culture war movies...and this is blatantly evident unless...you just dont watch pop-culture war movies. So, you're not playing a game about Iraq...You're playing a game about a movie based in Iraq... Hollywood is to war movies what Infinity Ward is to war games.
So, to answer your question, No, I cant remember ever seeing any soldier in Iraq running from hut to hut with a knife, but... how many times have you seen Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris, even Eric f*ing Bana (Blackhawk Down, ya, he was a total bad ass) doing it?

Back to the OP's topic though, ya... At first glance, I would think that going sub-based would mean great things for Call of Duty. If they actually put the effort into it, gave it more persistent elements, a constant flow of new content, etc... I would totally be willing to pay for THAT.
