New Guild Forming?

Greetings fellow mmorpg.com members.  Like all of you browsing this forum, I'm interested in SW:TOR and just as interested in joining a guild for this game, because some of my absolute fondest MMORPG memories centered around a pre-release guild I joined for Vanguard: Saga of Heroes.  My problem is that it seems as if it's so hard to find a guild that really fits my playstyle.  There are a tons of guilds out there.  Many are extensions of multi-gaming guilds. Some are RP guilds Many are PvP. Some are Jedi only.  Some are Sith only.  My problem is, I want to do it all.  I don't want to join a guild only focused on one aspect, and more importantly, I don't want to join a guild that "expects" me to play a certain way to suite their needs.  A guild should please its members, not the only way around.

My troubles in finding guilds have not only been centered around SW:TOR, but in EQ2, WoW, LoTRO, AION, and various other MMORPGs I have tried, and I can only think of one true way to remedy the situation, and that is to form my own.  My problem is, I don't exactly have a dedicated band of adventurers to join with me in this bold undertaking.  As every knows, a guild is nothing without its members, and without members, these guilds are very difficult to start up.  After all, who wants to join a guild with only three people currently listed as members as the guild could fold any second?  No, what I want is to find some like minded individuals, even if it kills me, to form an all inclusive, catch all guild that's not afraid to accept anyone and everyone (the bad seeds will be weeded out), and supports any and every playstyle.  If you want to PPV, go ahead.  If you want to RP, have fun.  If you want to raid, when the time comes, we can see about forming raid alliances.

Admittedly, I have never formed my own guild within a game, and understand it is a huge undertaking, but I do feel very passionate not only about SW:TOR but also forming a guild that is a guild like I remember joining when I first began playing MMORPGs. At the age of thirteen, my first MMORPG guild experience came when I simply asked a couple role players who were making out near the gates of Felwithe if I could join their guild, and that sparked a friendship which lasted for years to come. There was no trial period. There was no long winded application process. There was just a group of friends doing what we loved the most -- playing Everquest. What I want to do is form a group of friends that can recreate that experience, not simply for my own benefit, but for the benefit of others who are just as new to the genre as I was at the time and who deserve a place within the world despite their inexperience -- for players to enjoy a sense of companionship where they don't feel rushed, where they don't feel like they're having to please anyone, and most importantly, where they can play the game the way they want to play it.

If this proposal interests you, I would like to direct you to www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/post/3344783#3344783.  As poorly worded and rushed as that post is, it is an exact outline of my problem with modern guilds and is a template for the sort of guild I would be interested in running.  If you are the type of player who misses casual, family oriented guilds who care more about the player behind the character then how much DPS you do or what your gear score is, give that thread a read, and if interested in joining me in this undertaking, make a post here, and we can talk further.
