Continent of the Ninth (C9)

I saw a few trailers for this game last night, and after checking some sites out, I read its a mmorpg, although the trailers' gameplay suggested more of a action, "hack and slash" game, more in the lines of devil may cry than your standard mmo. It been in development for 3 years now and the quality of the graphics are similar to Tera and Blade & Soul. The game is not listed here. Whats the info on C9?

If you stand VERY still, and close your eyes, after a minute you can actually FEEL the universe revolving around PvP.

  • C9 is already out and playable in South Korea. It's just that everything you saw is mainly people who can make accounts for the Korean game portal Hangame. The problem is the Korean game portal Hangame requires SMS authentication. That basically means unless you know someone in Korea with a cellphone, playing the game is all but impossible. There is also much speculation as to if the game will ever be released into English.

Mabinogi Heroes is also very similar to this (and also is currently released in Korea, but requires a KSSN or Korean Social Security Number).  Unlike C9 it's already been confirmed that it's getting a port over to the US, so you might want to check that out too.  I'm not sure if C9 uses the Unreal 3 engine, but Mabinogi Heroes, Blade and Soul, and Tera are all using that engine.

There's a fairly reputable website that sold accounts and KSSN info and such that was fairly reliable. I know of a few people that bought Dragonball Online accounts from there to success. It' was something like 15$ for a DBO beta account that's going to get wiped once beta was over...

Not to mention, if you don't know korean, getting into the game is only the first obstacle.

i have an account in c9, i bought it from a site, i can find it if you want. this game, like tera i m waiting, is a next gen mmorpg, is more skilled base, and much much fun even in solo ( havent tried it with groups cause i dont speak chinese :P ) u enter an instance, you choose difficulty, and u start... fight fight, boss fight, loot... much much fun....

Then u start the instance a bit harder and harder till you proceed to next instance... i loved the game and the combat system ( i played it with gamepad using xpadder with the pc connected to 40' tv ) so i m waiting for TERA to come out :)

LoL feel free to pm me your c9 login info heh. I would love to check it out. I know what site is reliable for those korean KSSN's sogameway.com is where anyone should go instead of spending months looking for the proper info. It's something like 17 bux.

I think that's why these types of games are appealing to me. I'm old school so I love the beat-em-ups. Plus, I love using the xbox controller.
