sounds like another dev behind on their scheduling possibly launching an unfinished game that will take a few months to iron out.  Having siad that , anyone who wanted to try this before should really consider it because i do believe if anyone is gonna bring back the UO days it will be a indy dev.

Game is definitely unimpressive to say the least.

However, the greater concern is why do you like looking at naked male ass?

that's pretty much the whole game in that picture lol.

I'll wait as I do love the game and will play since day 1, though is evidential that the game is not going to be in full in one year or so, but it's valid for me.

It is a question of fangs.

lol!  i thought the naked guy standing watching everyone else mine made it even funnier looking ;p

and while unimpressive i do have hope for this game, just like i did for darkfall which i ended up not really enjoying and giving up on.. the world looks amazing and im hoping they add a good amount of stuff for us to try before release, because im not shelling the ridiculous price they are asking for this game.

You hope.!   Wait, Wait, Wait ......blah blah blah

Didn't they "fix" the lag with 12.18.19, then again last week?

Then i will spend some time cutting wood and trying to do sth, maybe crafting if it is possible in the actual state of the game. Let's hope for the 22nd day patch to walk straight forward to other activities.

The DF crowd waited and it was for good. I think we shall do the same.

OK I want to make it clear that I am NOT in any way defending the current awful state MO is in.

That said, for some reason it is the first time in a long time this game world feels like a world. Yesterday I ran around for 2 hours for no reason other than to familiarise myself with the landscape, and I enjoyed myself. I've picked out a few places I will be potentially building my house, near decent resources and (how sad is this) picturesque, yet out of the way and semi hidden. Chatting to others who I met on the way sharing knowledge of what was in the environment where they had just been. I will add that in 2 hours I saw minimal amounts of mobs (as in 2 groups).

As it stands there are just way too many problems with the game to sub to it as a few of those bugs are very game breaking for me. I really hope they can get those resolved, they really need new hardware their end and a lot of it. As a combat focused game, right now combat is one of it's weakest features due to the severe lag, among a fair few weak features due to the lag.

If they could eliminate the lag then a hell of a lot of the issues I have with the game would clear up, but I fear this may not happen.

    Here's hoping.

Are you one of those: "I've heard that this game...", but never actually read what will MO offer by its release ?

"jezus patch" ... people have so high imagination when it goes to open gifts, but never are satisfied from its content.

There was about 4-5 such miracle patches in CB.
Calling just small content addons, performance tweaks, bugfixes and maybe "technology" udpates (for example when LOD has been implemented) a miracle patch makes me laugh.

I'll just wait till religion will be implemented, and the circus will grow bigger =]

People complain for thousands of things, but did they actually try out the latest mmogs ? When I saw STO screenies I asked: wtf is this crap ? 5yrs old EQ2 owns it completely.
Refunds for almost 50$ box ? Forget about this.

Any true fpv mmo's coming out there ?
Or just another instanced and fully automated multiplayer craps, having nothing in common with terms massive and RPG.

After playing it a few days I'm still not sure what the goals should be for a player.  I understand it's a sandbox but to me you got to give something more than just 'existing' in the world.  The game has open world PvP but I haven't figured out what role that plays in the grand scheme of things outside of just randomly killing people and looting them.  Haven't figured out what role guilds play.  So far all I see is the following:

    1 - run around aimlessly

2 - Chop some wood/mine some ore ad nauseum

3-Build a house if you got the materials (what you actually do with the house I'm not sure though)

    4-Craft weapons/armor

    5-Kill pigs/deer/wolves

That's it.  I guess there is a point to all that but I don't see it.

Yes.. as of NOW you might be right (although you forgot Thievery!  You can stand naked at the bank and snoop/pilfer!).

The big Miracle Patch is coming in just 6 days.  This is the patch that will fix all issues and actually turn MO into the ame we all have been waiting for.  Out faith shall be rewarded.  Just trust in SV.  Back in Closed Beta they had a private UO Shard and let us have an Age of Chivalry type tournament... it was great.  Believe me these guys know their stuff.

First off MO doesn't need a miracle. Also the devs aren't marketing the patch as a miracle patch:

I don't know any company who WOULD "market" it as a miracle patch.

But by all implications, it is going to re-do every system, fix every problem, add all the content and more -- in a single patch.

For most people, for that to happen, and for it to WORK -- it needs a miracle. Obviously the devs won't push it as that in outright terms, but frankly, that's what they are promising.

Noting from others how slow the patcher is, have fun with that.

There will always be those with expectations low enough--i.e. no expectations at all--that to them anything and everything is miraculous.   Oh, wait a minute, are we talking about Bhudda or MO ultra-fans?  ;)

I'm laughing at the image because ultimately it's true... I walked passed that situation in game and trotted out of the starter area.

Got by the PvPer's outside of town without much difficulty...

Made it to my other town, setup shop with resource gathering, and started making bows.

My character was a  Horse Herder, and it didn't take me long to get to the point where horses were tamable... I need leather armor so I don't get too badly injured in the process.

    ----

There is no disputing that picture... but as to what it shows... well my interpretation is that people did what they naturally do...

Gathered around an area they believed was safe and valuable... and began fighting over it.

    *shrug*

It's human nature... did you expect something else?
