EQ2 "flawless" streak ends - multi server crash (11)

in Everquest II

It appears that 11 servers are down at the moment.  The first clue I had was my character was wiped!

Other than this it's been good.  I'm sure they'll get my server back up soon!

    Good news! Only 8 of 19 are servers down now.

    All servers are up except:

    Guk
    Butcherblock
    Nektulos
    Kithicor
    Blackburrow
    Befallen
    Permafrost
    Steamfont

    Even though I am not getting EQ2, you cant blame an MMORPG game for having a little problems when it first comes out. image

    Your character was not wiped. If the server is completely disconnected, you cannot see your characters.

    Mine wasn't wiped, just lost several levels.

    I know that & you know that, but the game should have indicated a server disconnect instead of taking me to the create charater screen.

    If you knew that and he knew that.Why did you state your chracter was wiped if you knew it was not?

    For all you Everquest 2 players:

    I seriously suggest you bookmark the Dev Tracker in EQ2 forums. It will give you up-todate info on why the servers are down, how long, etc

    All servers went down due to a power failure where the servers are located. Hence, the reason why ALL servers were down.

    Also all servers will be down from 5 AM PST to 7 AM PST today

    People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

    unfort mmorpg can be like an addicting drug. If you are addicted to cigarettes, you're gonna be upset if you cant smoke one for a day.

    Think of the DEV tracker as a nicotine patch ....::::20::

    Not sure I'm buying this.  I was able to ping all of the servers during the "power outage", unless it was just a flicker, but if it was that, they really need to invest in generators.
