With time this game has the potential to be great. I am having a grand time playing it! Hopefully with the expansion of the bridges will include missions that occur within the interior of your ship.
Potential that will never materialize in the game.

Considering that ship interiors are at the center stage of all shows - except DS9, but that's a given - I think their implementation is flawed and wrong. I don't think that expanding them will change that. You have a game like SWG that haD real shipinteriors like 5 years (?) ago and all Cryptic can come up with is some random instance that is physically totally separate from your ship. Then again, maybe they can surprise us...
Heh, it's so true. How a game like SWG can create a space environment where you have the ability to move about your ship, decorate the interior etc. and also have folks ride in the ship while it moves through space and is being piloted and a game 5 years later can't seem to pull it off is beyond my comprehension. SWG was a fun game but it wasn't the greatest performing game at times on the platform it was built. Sadly, by the time they get this added to the game it will most likely be too little too late.

Currently, players in Star Trek Online can basically wander around a small bridge area
That's a joke, right? The bridges are freaking huge. They're the furthest thing from "small" - they look like they were built for giants. All the interiors do. And the turbolift doors are big enough to drive a truck through.
