What game is EQ2 more based towards on the market now?

I just tried out the WoW open beta and did not like it.  I was bored after playing it for 2 hours.  I have been playing DAOC the last 3 years and was wanting to try a new game that's coming out.  I have played EQ1,asheron's call 1 and DAOC...Is EQ2 anything like any of these games?  And if it isn't exactly like one of these games, which one would EQ2 most remind me of?  Also how is the customer support in EQ2?  I left EQ1 because of the customer support and went to DAOC.  DAOC's customer support is more horrid than EQ1s was but I liked the way DAOC was compared to EQ1. DAOC had more things that I liked in it.  Anyway's I guess I'm just asking people's opinion on here to see if I would enjoy playing EQ2 based on the games I have played in the past.

Thanks,

Drac

It reminds me of DAOC a lot actually. Its a great game, but unfortunatly it looks like yet another leveling grind with the same formula ... Find group, kill 1000 mobs and repeat. Though if any it is the best one out doing it...Only thing im missing is character custimalization, and im a bit annoyed at the huge amount of zones, but apart from that this is a great game.

Thanks for the reply. Another guy at where I work said it is basically like old DAOC as well. I really liked the old DAOC.  Level grind doesn't bother me that much so I think I'll go out and purchase it this weekend.  Maybe by this weekend any issues people are having with the servers and the login servers will be fixed.  I usually don't buy a game the first day it comes out because they always have problems with them, I usually wait a week or so.  Anyways, gonna buy it this weekend and get started on my characters.  I just hope it's not like when I played EQ1 and when you die you have to go hunt for your body to get your stuff back.  Anyways, enough rambling.

    Take Care,

Nope when you die you have all your gear in tact.   You only leave a shard behind...if you choose to go retrieve your shard you will erase some of the XP penalty debt.

no problem, i was just trying to help you. (it was really bugging me, hehe) but, not to go off topic. if your talking about in general what game is it most like i would have to say EQlive, it picks up the storyline and gives you more of the everquest lore. gameplay wise, i dont think its like any others.
