Howdy, Stranger!

It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

Beta signups

They are out. You can sign up, and eventually they will e-mail you if they want you to test.

I know I just bought 87$ worth of Darkfall but this looks really good and I want it :] I have MMOADD...Can't stick with a new one for long

It also seems they check your system specs at the end of the sign ups. So report the bugs and mistakes to make it better, don't let it be a trial instead of a beta.

Which makes me question what stage of development the game is really in. I said it was in Closed Beta because they're accepting beta invites, but others have said that it's not.

That would mean that until recently, BioWare was showing Alpha footage... that was pretty damn good for Alpha, I have to admit.

I still believe it's in Closed Beta.

This was taken from the official FAQ from the website:http://swtor.com/info/faq#359

'We have not yet scheduled the Beta Test for Star Wars: The Old Republic. We recommend subscribing to the newsletter or keeping an eye on the official website so you can be one of the first informed when this information is released'

signups started in October or something maybe earlier I'm not 100% sure, but I am 100% sure that it isn't in closed beta yet.

Okay, that makes sense. They're preparing for Closed Beta. Well, at least they gave themselves plenty of time to find good candidates and run a competent Beta.

Just because they're accepting beta invites doesn't mean anything.

We've established that in the rest of the thread, no reason to be such a snicker.

I think I signed up for beta around October when they first came out.

Yeah, I signed up on multiple accounts back in September.

It's an extremely small beta phase, only 1,000 people (Out of the 900,000 people who opted in) will be chosen.

Wait until later when they start taking in more people for stress testing.

Bioware workers, friends and family have had access for sometime i think, but the game is now delayed - dont expect closed beta till the end of the year, and beta sign ups have been going off for the last 6 months.

Nothing new here, now move along...........

    Playing: FFXIV
Future: wishing for SWG 2, World of Warcraft Classic
Played: Most current and extinct MMO's - 18 Years in....

    Interesting Fact - I own 27 Tarantula's

i thought it was called a game test or something like that and not an actual beta test.
