First off, I think it mightve started because they already selected beta testers for the first set of them, second, if you even did get picked for the beta, remember, beta = unfinished game with many many bugs and maybe not even playable, beta is not free time to play before you have to play, and third, people are picked to bug test, not to play play play, for free, because you want it soooo bad.

I know that just would like to check it out and i would be playing for seeing bugs i beta conan and it was fun to beta games when i beta conan i payed to get in so I would pay something to beta ff14

Ok first off, this "6 year old" is a 3d animator , c++ coder, LUA scripter and making a new MMO with a new team, I'm 28 jackass.
Clearly you sir, are the one that is ignorant. You just proved it in your last post calling me a 6 year old cause I said you fail.
And to provide a 2nd point that you are ignorant and clearly don't know what FAIL means, the beta has NOT started yet, beta selection has not started yet. You sir are clearly spreading around false rumors that the 6 year olds keep repeating for attention. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out when the beta selection has been sent and started. Leaks WILL happen and no NDA is going to stop it. Have you seen a single leak other then someone bulls***ing that they are in beta? Hmm? That would be a no. Stop being so gulible, beta anything has not started, period.
That being said this is not a dedicated FFXIV forum nor site, core and Eorzeapedia are, and there have been no leaks nor posts stating that there has been. The fact you said "I think" it started in your post speaks your speculating and renders your whole f'ing post misleading to the OP.

Oh as for the forum lurker the only one I see posting in just about every topic is you, I have been on this site a total of 2 times for ANY info on 14 cause it lacks but theres always a chance. So who exactly is the forum lurker?

Square is a real homey when comes to divulging information,they like to feed the JPN press,but keep us in the dark.Square NEVER really considered the NA demographic,they once said it was only from watching Capcom that they learned about the NA player base.Even FFXI was originally only a PS2 release,as they had built a long partnership with SOE.
like another poster said they were already looking for some testers quite a while ago,and about 6 months ago i heard they had already begun a sort of in house testing phase.TO show how much they ignore us over here,i would be EXTREMELY surprised if anyone from over here got into the initial testing phase.I would say they will use us in the final beta testing phase,probably not for another couple months.

I read it as he is tired of people using "FAIL", he was stating he has heard it from 6 year olds and all the way up too the fourm lurkers. (IE Trolls)

Check the date, now check the official announcement from SE.

The first people they are considering for this beta, are online community leaders and/or active FFXI subscribers. Those people will be the first to get invites, before anyone else.
Also, these persons are now invited into alpha testing, not closed beta (although these people will have access to that too, lateron). Closed beta has not started yet, and no date has been given for the start of closed beta.
I expect that alpha testing will not take very long.
