Well there is a 100+ page thread one the offical NA forums complaining about the cash shop. The Curiosity is the amount of peoaple complainig, nearly 99%. It looks like it's the 1st time in MMO history that the whole gaming community got together and said F.CK YOU to a greedy publisher.

It was to my understanding that this game is free to play with a RMT shop so what is the issue?
Cash shop mishap doesn't make it the worst launch. Not to mention your leaving out the word "BETA" in most of your paragraph about how your upset about the cash shop. They did the same thing in DDO Unlimited beta, they messed with the cash shop prices.

its still is full free !but gpotato had to make a statement today about this because lot of player were thinking gpotato asked them to buy cs item to be able to enter in those event .like gpotato stated ,the game plays the same as itr has been from the first day
cs store is optional ,you want it its there you dont dont use it!

It's not a beta and it wasn't "fixed". No where did they say they are going to address the problem. They simply said they were going to "evaluate" it, which is the exact same thing they said about FoD too and that didn't get changed (actually, it is going to change on the Russian server, but we are waiting to see the details on that).
The game isn't in beta. That's an absolutely misleading term. If you aren't going to wipe characters and you start charging or opening a cash shop for a game you no longer have the right to say the game is in beta stage. That's a release, it's the very definition of the word. Gpotato has no right saying the game is in beta with the cash shop opened like that and no character wipe after "open beta".
@Zeppelin the issue is when the game requires a cash shop to do just about everything at max level and the game is designed in such a way that it almost forces you to use a cash shop to have a good time.
The launch of the game was fine (the servers were a bit overcrowded and it took over an hour after the official release time to get the servers up and running, but that's pretty normal for MMO launches). I'd say instead of calling it a bad launch, let's just call it a MMO fail. I wouldn't say it's the worst (though completely ruining what could have easily been the best F2P for now is a pretty big fail) as there are several others that would compete such as AO's launch, Tabula Rasa's cancellation, Auto Assault, Matrix Online, Cryptic's Greed (which is admittly not even close to Gpotato's), and AoC's bugs and lack of content, but I definitely would put Allod's Cash Shop / Gpotato's driving away a good portion of it's paying customers on my Top 5 Fail list.

Better this that Runes of Magic item shop dont you think that Allods items dont give any advantage in game, just for fun. So telling that prices are to high well.... :x. Anyway we can w8 1 month and we will see all items on AH so its not problem.
Dark and Light was a straight up scam. This isn't as bad.
No advantage in-game? +100% boosts to HP/Mana and resistance to most popular CCs are not an "advantage"? The only reliable way to make high-level runes is not an advantge? You're kidding, right?
In a month's time no one will PLAY with prices like that.

Sort of , my point was isnt that bad as it looks. Players whining on forums its ok, so i think Devs will change prices and will add more things into game in time. Its just Open Beta lets give them a chance.
They'ev had plenty of time to "test" this in Russia since October. They fell flat on their faces - people are leaving in droves. They will not change prices, gpotato always sets ridiculous prices for all their games (75$ for a flying mount in FlyFF, anyone?).
It IS as bad, as it looks. Later raids and PvP are basically unplayable, wihout perfume. Mobs just got something close to 25% increase in strength. The prices on AH for perfume will be absolutely ridiculous.
I've been one of the more avid supporters of this game since the Russian Open Beta release. And I'm throwing my towel in.

maybe i am doing a disservice to the 100 post thread complainers on the subject because i never read the thread but seeing the zone chats range from pedophelia to 'insert race/religion here' jokes i personally am drawing a picture of what many are like that are complaining. (the same ones talking crap in chat spend the same amount of time crying about the cash shop as they do about lovable little kids or ethnic groups in a not so nice colorful way).
It is interesting though to see such an outcry so fast from so many and will be interesting to see the changes that will be made.
At the end of the day the game is still in open beta and the publisher has already said they are looking into it instead of blindly ignoring (or deleting posts) PLUS its a FREE TO PLAY game..so what if some content is unavailable unless you buy it? It isn't the end of the world.
BUT if it effects the amount of people playing due to being badly unbalanced via Cash Shop then they should maybe rethink their subscription model because some of the stuff is kind of outrageous.
The availability of the content is not a problem. The ridiculous prices are. You'll end up spending 1.38 dollars per hour of Raiding/PvP/Heroic instances, unless you like your tanks dying in two hits. People were READY to throw 10-20 bucks a month, for their game, yet they made the prices 6-20 times higher, than on RU server. 6 to 20. That's not just "inflation".
It's not a "free to play" game. Nothing in this world is free.
Most jokers in /zone don't post on the forums. And, to be perfectly honest, I've yet to see a single F2P game without those kinds of people.

Title is misleading. The game is in OB and has not released yet.

The characters won't get wiped, they charge you real money allready. By all intents and purposes it's release and screw the businesstalk.

You're kidding yourself. As is everyone else defending the overpriced cash shop by saying "no one is forcing you to buy anything."
The point is that most of us fall into the demographic that WOULD buy things. We're not 11 year olds that have to be Mommy for her Visa. We're adults with deep pockets, and we want reasonably priced entertainment.
Do you know that you need to pay over a dollar an hour just to keep a death penalty from stacking on you during PvP or anywhere else where you die a lot? Do you know that upgrading the tiny 18-slot bag to 24 costs $20?
That, my friend, is a recipe for game death. No one in their right mind would pay that. If anyone does, it won't be enough people to support the game. If they cut the prices down by 3/4, they might have something.
It's too late, now, though. Many of us have already rage-quit. Pretty reasonable for a rage quit, actually.

It should be called "introductory and marketing period"
Open Beta is a common marketing tactic these days. If it was a true OB, the cash shop would be closed, and people would actually be encouraged to file bug reports ...

Games like these remember me why I prefer monthy fees... $15 for a whole game access looks like a joke compared to what these F2Ps offer for your money.
And beta... sure... item mall is open for you to spend your money on and there are no further wipes, what does that mean?
what boggles my mind here is allods is easily the top f2p game in terms of gameplay and content its just sad that the item mall is so expensive.
I look at it this way you go to a Bar thares a band playing that you dont know and never seen befor the guy at the door tell you $20 bucks plz for the cover you go that crazy.
you can go and pay the 20 or go to a other bar and come back later that nite and get in for free that dont mean that this MMO for that matter and Any got a Worst Game Launch in History i just pick that point later down the road and pay less and all the Crap is Fix and its Free. Thay have the much of a Right to Charge whatever that like thay know people will buy it.
But i guess thay put something up about the Cash shop i did not Check ingame Yet . lol few Weeks Later thay will change the Price after thay ton of the crap is sold and got some of that money back fast o well thats Life

F2P games are a rip-off.
Not even close to worse launch in MMO history. They just have several minor issues (broken quests, character imba) and a bungled Cash Shop. Couple that with poor marketing strategy and mis-communication between the PRs and the CMs. Worst launch would have to include horrible graphics, gameplay, and a non-optimized for everyday systems, while during CB, they hyped it as the most beautiful game in the world and that it would make you it's bitch....
