Allods online looked really interesting. I thought it might be fun but I think it needs alot more work. Too many people and not enough mobs. The quests are not explained very well and you end up wasting time running around. Hope this game does well but Aion is much better and more organized. Good luck to those that stick it out in Allods.

It's a... WoW clone, all right. It does have it's issues.. a bunch of people camping out the spawn point of the "great wolf" for the League side allod quests... Yeah. So far I'm not all that impressed, but the game is easy enough to jump into that I might continue playing it when I get bored enough. Item shop is making me wary, though.. and I'll have to get a bit higher in levels before I decide its a waste of time. Anyone know if they offer instanced dungeons similar to WoW's?

True, you  don't have to deal with quests in Aion that much. Thats obviously better for some people.

Dunno, I think the quest texts are pretty good. You just don't get the marker on the map, that is all. Read and it should be fine.

What bothers me is the slow combat. Takes "ages" to take down an enemy.  Makes me fall asleep when I am supposed to fix 10 of x or 7 of y. That is for me the main reason not to consider it.

I feel I couldnt pinpoint the reason I didnt like this game. It may have been the slow combat.

I was calling this game 'WoW Lite'. I gave it a few days and it's still to busy (IMO) to be anything but a time sink waiting for low level mobs to get through a lot of the quests.

I will give credit where credit is due. I've had quite a few invites to parties for 'getting through' quests but it's still kind of silly to me. Add another couple of servers. If everyone and their brother has to kill 8 crows or 10 deer, make more deer or add more servers so that people can fan out.

The game still has potential (no comments on the shop issues) but I won't be investing any more time in it.

Prior to the Cash Shop disaster the only real complaints I had were:

    1) As mentioned it is slow killing mobs, even with a DPS class

    2) Guild management tools had a lot to be desired.

If it wasn't for the Cash Shop I could have lived with the the issues, spent money on the game and enjoyed it.

Actually the quests are explained in detail. Open your map and it even shows you the exact location of the quest mobs. As for too many players? They will die off eventually as more and more people move on to other flavor of the months. Allods is new and "exciting" so people are just checking it out.

Why start new threads on your likes/dislikes? You can add your opinion to already progressed discussions in other threads.

Should everyone who likes or dislikes the game start their own thread?

Everyone needs their 15 minutes of E-fame don't you know?! And not to mention you know you wanted to hear someone else's opinion that you don't know...
