Item Malls

I get somewhat irritated by games with item malls being called free to play. It doesn't appear to me that those games are free to play, you got to buy that stuff for real life cash or you're not going to get to where you want to be. That's not free.

How do others feel about that? Isn't a monthly fee that gives you access to everything a more honest thing?

I don't know. I've been playing A.V.A Online for some time now and I haven't spent a dime. I guess if I wanted all the guns and fashion accessories it would get expensive. I guess if you were a complete n00b and felt that a different gun would give you an edge you might feel pressured to buy something as well. A good player can still rack up major kills and wins with the default pistol though.

Either way, I've been holding my own with what I have.

Usually those who have this Item mall/Cash shop are f2p games... of course since it's a free to play they need to earn money, and it's the only way for them to get it, there's no free in this world you are playing a f2p games and it was in your hands whether to buy in their Item mall. in some way they don't forced us to buy.... Like what I always said, if you think you can be a strong by buying those item in the item mall you need to risk and go for it... If you think this can help you to be the best player then decide for it.  Like in Atlantica Online, some was pissed of in the item mall for them the company of Ndoors just making money on them but I think those who complains are most frustrated and unlucky. In AO they there's a random boxes that you can buy and there's a consolation items that you can obtain once you didn't get the Special items. So some are very frustrated to buy the box and once they didn't get it they will complain about the successful rate of the box. I can't blame them of their frustrations but still they have a choice and it's their fault once they spend too much and yet didn't get the items that they want.
