Video card probs with eq2

Ra'veRa've Member Posts: 203

I evidently have a junky video card its a Geforce4 mx440 with agp8y. Wich of course isnt supported by EQ2 my question is how much is a new "good" card?

Im thinking about just letting it go and sticking to WoW i was wanting to play EQ2 more for curiousity than anything and im not sure the new card would be a good investment. Thanks for your help guys::::08::

I think the closest card with good performance on EQ2  for about $100 mark should be the Radeon 9600.

You can play with the FX5200 but honest truth if you are a gamer you should keep away from the low budget cards as much as possible. They perform badly and generally just suck so bad you end up constantly upgrading them.

Rather step a generation back and get a mid range card.As someone that has used Ti4200 and FX5200 i can safely say in all the games i played the Ti4200 performed better. And on ebay the Ti4200 gos for same price as the FX5200 if not less.

But if you got like $100 -$120 then go for a R9600 it will server u well for EQ2 and of course WoW.

If you want play new games, you have to spend some money imageimageimage.

I played on Nvidia GF5800, was a decent card for the games, now i have Radeon X800XT PE, the best ever madeimage. Get yourelf one of those and forget about upgrade for 2 years.
