Hi!
I've been looking for a new game to call home for a while now. I'm getting pretty sick of cartoonish graphics. I'm looking for a game kind of like Dark Age of Camelot - I loved the gameplay, graphics, and effort put into the lore and quests that it had. I would still be playing it if it wasn't so empty ( no one really plays it anymore. ) But that means I'm looking for a game with both pve and pvp options, considerable class ( and preferably race ) choices, and group pve. I'm willing to try something a bit different from that if it's really good, but that's a general idea.. Oh, also, I don't mind paying ( as long as it isn't a ridiculous price. ) I'll also go with slightly cartoonish graphics... The point is that I want the makers to actually have put effort in graphics so I don't mind looking at it for hours.
I've played since DAoC:
Everquest
PWI
Maplestory
EVE
and lots and lots of asian F2Ps.

This doesn't really answer your question, but daoc clustered everything basically and I always see 2k+ on. Currently there are 3k on. From what I heard, the action seems pretty good since everyone is on same cluster now.
Not sure when you last played, but you might want to give it another shot now.
EverQuest 2 had a gritty realistic feel iirc.
I would agree, it seems that there was a bit of pvp going on when I tried the game out.

Yeah, my brother still plays it, so I know the status. It sounds great, but at least 500 of that 2k at any given time are buffbots nowadays, and all the players are max level with multiple characters and accounts. I liked playing it just to have fun, and I never really got that intense in any game.
Edit: I've seen Everquest 2 before as well, but I've always been kind of hesitant to play it for some reason. I'll put it on my list and do some research - thanks.
I recommend it. I play LotRO now, because I have alifetime, but I probably like EQ2 the best of all the games I have played.
