never seen a kid so unhappy, and i have never been so outraged at what a junk product for an extra $50

The package came completely smashed, like they put it in a pillow case and had a fight before shipping it

ill chuck this in the garbage and warn everyone to save your nickels.. I do not even want a replacement.

Limited edition versions are always pointless. I never ever bother to buy one, all the stuff that comes with it is worth maybe 5 dollars anyway...

Most collectors edition / limited editions do well, even ship well.

Just wait until you get a scratched up blank install disk in a plain manila envelope. Then you'll know you got screwed.

That sucks it was damaged but I'm guessing that would be the fault of the shipping company.   Are the miniatures cool looking?

the rllmccoy had a pic of what you get for 118 dollars not sure if his post is still in the mo section might wanna try to find it if you want a pic.

it basically was a bag a disc case a book(which he said about 80% blank pages) and some figurines

in the same thread someone put up what they got with their warhammer collectors edition for 75 dollars and it was amazing(im not selling warhammer but the difference was like light and dark) how much you got with that one made the MO one look scandalous

I'd contact SV to see about a replacement if it truly meant that much to the kid... which is the part that is catching my attention the most. You post quite a bit in the Global Agenda forums, so I figure you are interested in that one... but what made you get MO for your kid?

I'd also like to know, how was the loot bag packaged? box, styrofoam, plastic bubbles?

I'm concerned about my Loot Bag to a certain degree, but there really isn't much I can do about it till I get it. If mine is busted up i'll let you know... might have been a fluke on shipping.

not to mention that if you already got the install discs, well... welcome to 4-5GB of patching on Day 1.

    Sounds über fun!

I just recieved mine too. When I got home my brother said I got a package and it was ripped. So I checked what it was and luckily everything was still in the package. As the OP has said before, the miniatures were pretty smashed up, but doesnt seem like there was any damaged done to em. I liked the jute bag and art book. I cant really say that I'm impressed, but I guess I'm a happy customer. I got what I bought. I'll try to post up some photos, need to find my camera wherever it is.

  • I will say this over and over again, but anyone who actually thought XlordX from defiance uo free servers was going to do a good job at developing a game must have had some good drugs. A little research into who is developing the game in which you are investing can go a long way. In the end it is an expensive lesson, but a lesson that will not soon be forgotten. Sorry your son had to learn it at such a young age.

People do seem to forget, quickly.   The whole Dark and Light (NP3/Farlan) deal was only like 3 years ago.  It's painfully apparent SV hasn't forgotten, they are using the exact same "tactics".

Heh ....... I just got my LE pack and was pleasantly surprised.

After reading some of the posts here, I couldn't help but expect the worst.  The two miniatures are actually of really good quality.  I've spent some time with table top games like Warhammer 40k and D&D and loved the process of cleaning, building, painting and mounting miniatures.  These minis are made by  "Reaper" which is one of the decent names in miniatures.  I'm afraid if you want them to look like something your going to have to spend some effort to get there.

The art book, loot bag, poster and dvd case were also problem free.  Everything looked brand new and of decent quality.  I have to admit, the blank pages in the art book was kinda strange, but, whatever.   The bottom line is I knew what I was getting into when I chose to support this fledgling  indi company.  No big budget frills you see with the big name developers here.   No re-wrapped theme park game either.

I'll keep checking in with MO and hope for the best.  This genera needs a change and I believe it will come from an indi company that is willing to take some chances.

It would help a lot if the indi company was competent.

Right now the only department in MO i would want working on another MMO is the art department.

If I remember it correctly, that book was described as "note book with 20 pages of art" (or something like that). A note book is normally mostly blank, so that you have space to take notes. It didn't say "art book".

Getting your stuff smashed up might be a problem of the shipping company, and not the developers companies fault, so maybe it's possible to get a replacement there.

As a side note, I ain't too sure if an 18+ game with full nudity is the right game for a little kid.

Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)

Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)

Right you are ..... after checking the terminology again it is called the "Mortal Online Journal" which certainly makes a little more sense.

Based what I've seen since block A and  the current situation I do find it difficult to defend SV.  As I stated previously I just keep hoping for the best.  I'm assuming they are pretty much learning many things as they go.  Mistakes are bound to happen ... recovering from them and moving on is really what matters.
