This is why I don't use this site or any other for reviews or news. Look at the top voted released games and tell me why Wonderking is 9.52 and the closest one is Eve with 7.02.
All the tickers/rating are easily manipulated.

Manupulation? Hardly...
Also I refuse to play games that manipulate a system like Wonderking for marketing purposes.
I had one of these companies hack my friends email and send me spam to get me to join him in playing a game he never heard of.
You do realize yesterday Eve Online had a rating of over 8.5 and then your telling me the rating jumped to almost 7 in less than a day.
You do raise an interesting point, a number of games have dropped significantly.
I remember reading something on this site way back about how whenever a new game was added the system was affected hugely by it because of the sort of grading curve they use for the ratings. Eventually it all balances itself out. The problem is, as one game is rated very highly, the curve becomes less lenient and other games drop in their score. If wonderking gets voted down a bit, you'll see EVE fly back up. It's not being manipulated, there's just only a few votes for wonderking and they're all positive.
EDIT:
To test my point, I just rated wonderking a 1.0 and it dropped nearly .2 whereas EVE went back up to 7.17. See?
Based on 22 votes once more people vote you will find that the ratings will even out.
The odd thing though is that, in the games list, there is one column for hype/rating and the front page has the top voted games, yet it doesn't properly correspond with actual rating of a released game. For instance, city of heroes got an editorial rating of 8.3, a user rating of 7.1 but the rating/hype score is 6.x. At the very least, those columns and boxes really need to have updated labels. Hype, i.e. page hits for a game, really need to be clearly separated from reviews and presented as such.
Hype is not page hits, popularity is. Hype is given by users to an unreleased game. Rating is given to released games.
Much like a lab experiment if you take small sample size the result can be inconclusive, but as more samples are taken the results are less likely to be error prone.
Of course this is all assume no one messed up the experimental procedure...
You seem new to this forum, whenever a new game is added to the list they get the highest possible rating and it evens out after a few days.
I liked wonderking, enjoyed playing it.... until they banned Europe from playing their servers. Same with Dragon Oath, wasted my time downloading it as they put a ban on Europe. It's really ridiculous, it's not my problem they have a European department for their company. We shouldn't be restricted to playing what they want us to. If I want to play on a US server then that is my choice.
Yes, I know this has nothing to do with voting, but these two companies definitely lost my respect.

Thank you for that clarification -- but what number is the top voted game on the front page then? Eve has a 7.96 on that list but on its landing page has a user rating of 8.0 and an official review of 8.5...
I honestly dont understand why MMORPG.com still has a user rating system. Id understand if it was a collaboration of reviews from reputable game sites. But to allow any user to bias the ratings any way they see fit without any sort of reputation accountability just makes the rating system null
I mean, as much as some of you may hate the game, theres no way in hell World of Warcraft deserves to be the 20th highest rated released MMO of ALL time in any rating system. Its just not logical. If you dont agree with this, just look at this page and see where released MMO's fall into line, and see where the ones you enjoy compare to the top 5.
seriously, just get rid of the user rating system. Let your own staff rate the games and be accountable for their ratings instead of this extremely inaccurate user rating system.

I disagree with the OP.
Wonderking although still at the top, other games seem to have taken back there scores or are very close to them at this point.
