That seems pretty damn expensive if you're building it yourself.

I'd say like 1500-1800 bucks.. wouldn't you guys?
Ya, I payed only $2450 for mine, and thats in Canadian Dollars. That seems like a high price for what you have, if you want to lower the price with the least amount of sacrificed performance, get rid of that 3500+ and swap it for like a 3200+
Edit: ok i rechecked what youve got there an noticed that the 3500+ is 939 pin, hmm... its an awsome system, but im still not sure if you need the 3500+.. anyone else think so?
Thats way too expensive! Unless you're buying from Alienware or other name brand company.
All the components look fine.
I'd get 1 gb of memory at least though.
And you didn't mention power supply. At least a 450watt is needed. That video card is going to suck alot of juice.
When you wrote 512 MB x 2 ... does that mean you have a total of 1 Gig of RAM? Or you have 2x 256 for a total of 512 MB?
Cause dude... I didn't bother commenting on anything else of what you mentioned in your list. If you got 1 gig of RAM and the minimum requirements for EQ2, the game will run fine!!! Cause 1 gig of RAM makes loading time and general lag non-existant. If the game still lags, then it's your PC's fault, not SOE or the servers. But that can be fixed by simply lowering the graphic configurations in the Option menu.
So the more you invest in a CPU, video card, soundcard and such, it will just allow you to increase the graphics to a higher level and not decrease the framerate of the game.
But whatever you do, get 1 gig of RAM. I keep mentioning this to people that say the game lag and only have 512 MB of RAM, cause I've done the test, and I know it helps.
